The wind started blowing like crazy very early this morning. Though half asleep I could hear the tree branches rubbing against the roof and a whistling sound coming from the fireplace. Today was a day to stay indoors if at all possible.
Spent it balancing my checkbook, paying bills and trying to get my receipts organized for whenever I decide to try to tackle my taxes. I'm not in too big of a hurry...what is the rush?...after all I have until October :-)
I am trying to convince the guy that does my yard in Houston to sign up for Paypal. It would sure cut down on stamps, checks and trips to the post office. Even saw where Walmart is now accepting it as a form of payment.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
Wind's died down, but it was 43 this morning.
ReplyDeleteIt was 49 this morning and without the wind...it felt wonderful.
DeleteAnd even over hear near Houston is was 44.
ReplyDeleteIn May and a 44 degree morning in Houston sounds heavenly :)
DeleteWe had 24 this morning up here at 5000 feet in west Texas.
ReplyDeleteI read in your blog that you were back in West Texas...at 24 degrees I am sure it was NOT to your liking.
DeleteThe weather patterns are very strange. The low temperature at 5,000' in Albuquerque, NM was 37 or 13 degrees warmer than at that same altitude and farther south.
ReplyDeleteIndeed Ed we have had strange weather patterns.
DeleteI was reading your blog and found it did not have a place to leave a comment or did I just not find it?
No place for Comments. My blog is not truly a blog, it started out as a place to save letters then became a semi-regular journal/letters then the blog format. It is ALL home grown - I have written it all in HTML.
DeleteHaving said all that, send me an email! HA
I thought of doing that when you went MIA but I knew deep inside that your computer was the culprit and it turned out I was right :)
