No word from HEB or Frio Light executives...

On one of my prior posts I offered to conduct a taste test among the attendees at the Terlingua CASI Chili Cook-off 2013 in exchange for some complimentary cases of Frio Light beer. To date I have not heard a peep...so decided to buy my own six pack and give a review.  You will have to wait until my return since I only plan to pop one open while at the event (I don't drink in Del Rio).

HEB and Frio Light Executives you still have time to get in touch with me.  Send me an e-mail at terlinguadreams@gmail.com

There is a remote possibility that a friend of a friend of a friend...may bring some of my camping gear that is in my house in Houston...not holding my breath though.

A much worn and faded t-shirt

This year the entrance fee went up by ten dollars to $40.00 and if you only attend on Saturday it now costs $20.00 .  In comparison to what a ticket to Burningman or one of their Texas sanctioned events costs...this is a real bargain!

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. Ms B sorry about your Father, as you write about your daily life I just got the feeling that your Dad was still with us. Looks like it going to be a good week-end coming up.

    1. No problem Joey you had no way of knowing he passed away a long time ago. I guess because I mention his old car quite a bit on my blog that one might assume he was still alive.

      Have a great week.

  2. Steady influx of RVs loaded with trailers full of toys headed for the cook off. As usual I won't be going though. There's a lot of griping from the locals about the admission increase and that's one more good reason for me not to go. A couple of gentlemen with the Austin American Legion post want to bring back one of the pre cook off cook offs back to out legion post. I'm still considering it.

When are you heading this way?

    1. Do not quote me but I believe this was new this year though I did not know about it until I had already arrived. If you are a veteran and have your ID to prove it, it was half off that being $20.00

If you were a regular Joe or Jayne and you drove up to the gate and said "Black Gold" they knocked off $10.00 off of the admission fee.

It was great to finally meet you :)

    3. Four of the guys in my camp are Vietnam Vets and were able to get in paying $20.00 after another of the guys heard it on the radio I believe in Odessa.

While he is not a veteran he got $10.00 off...sure would have been nice to know.

I gave up my MsBelinda e-mail address and I lost my contacts. What is your e-mail?

    1. Hey Frann sorry I did not get a chance to visit with you at length this year. Loved your costume wish I had had the opportunity to photograph you.

We were worried because you never showed up on Sunday.
