Red Moon

Spent this cool crisp night looking at the lunar eclipse in our backyard.  How I wished I had been in Terlingua to witness the Red Moon.

There were too many lights both from Del Rio, Ciudad Acuna and our own outside security light to get an unobstructed view of this event.

Using a cheap camera didn't help either. I apologize for the poor quality.

Took a lot of pictures but none of them could capture its splendor.

The neighborhood dogs and the neighbor's rooster were going crazy or perhaps they were barking at the cats.

Actually from my vantage point the moon was more like an amber color.  Hope the fortunate folks that call Terlingua home had the opportunity to witness this event.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. I have never been able to take good night time pictures of the moon. But when it is visible in the daytime, that worked for me.

    1. With this camera I basically can not take any good quality night time pictures but I tried. Daytime shots are the only ones that work for me.
