Something to be said for Radio

I do not know why knowing fully well that I have no computer skills...I try to download stuff off of the internet!  As you know I am closely following the NBA playoffs, the problem is that we only have one TV hooked up to cable.

Decided I would try to watch the game online but I had to download a program.  As usual when you do this they try to make you download other programs that have nothing to do with the original program.  Case in point I got this program called Optimizer Plus that grabbed a hold of my computer and I could not turn it off for the life of me. With it came other programs and even though I deleted them...had to do a system restore and even then they changed my main page settings.

Had enough and finally dug out my old ancient radio and listened to the game.  You know what?  I like it better than having to listen to some so called "experts" on TV.

Since it is morning I can not wish you my usual...Good night. May you have Terlingua Dreams. So I will wish you a good day instead.

  1. We were warned that the computers would take over our lives, and they did. Yours is just trying to rule your life. . .(grin)

  3. I quit following all sports years ago, but I remember that radio announcers stick to calling the action in the game, and not all the kibbitzing and analysis they give on TV. We used to watch the games on TV with the sound off, and listen to the play by play on the radio.

I don't even like to install updates to my computer because I am afraid they will change the entire program so much I won't recognize it. I am constantly being reminded to update AOL, Foxfire, and others, but I usually ignore them. I can't remember the passwords anyway!

    1. I need to follow your lead and start ignoring updates as well they too give me fits. I dread the day my computer needs to be replaced and I have to go to Windows 8...that will probably be the end of my blogging days.
