Heat, heat and more heat!

It has been awfully hot these past couple of days and looks like we have a couple of 100 plus degree days ahead of us.  I just don't know when I became a wimp!  I used to love hot summers, the hotter the better...not so much now :-(

I have been so wrapped up watching the Spurs make their way to the NBA Finals that I am behind on a lot of things.  So much for my Brazilian soap operas,,,,jajajajaja :D

This evening I spent three hours watering and re-watering the trees as this heat wave is taking a toll on them as well.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. I work out in that heat. I don't like the temperature heat or the Miami Heat. GO SPURS GO!

    1. My hat is off to you and all those people that have to work outside in these temperatures...you are a tough guy!

Like you I do not like the temperature heat or the Miami Heat!!

I am counting down the days until Thursday. Our news comes from San Antonio and I saw all the celebrations going on afterwards as well as the hundreds of people that got in line at Academy to get their Western Conference Finals t-shirts.

  2. I think as we get older most of us would like that sweet spot that is not too hot or not too cold. The only place I've ever found that is Hawaii, and I sure can't afford to move there.

Do you understand Portuguese? Of course you really don't need to understand the language to understand the soaps. I spent 5 wks in Korea and after work I watched a Korean soap - understood what it was all about in no time!

    1. No Gypsy, I do not speak Portuguese. The soap opera is beamed to the border from Mexico City and has been dubbed to Spanish.

Just for the heck of it I went to YouTube to watch it in Portuguese so I could hear what the real characters voice sounds like but I did not understand a single word except "idiot".

They say Portuguese and Spanish are similar but as far as I am concerned I can only make out a very small portion of the written Portuguese and almost nothing of the spoken one.
