San Antonio Shoemakers

I received an unexpected e-mail earlier this week from San Antonio Shoemakers better known as SAS.  At first I thought it was a joke but I checked it out and it is legitimate. A lady named Christina Gauna in their Marketing & Advertising Department sent me a very nice e-mail thanking me for mentioning them on my blog post http://terlinguadreams.blogspot.com/2014/08/i-cheated.html

I was so surprised that a company of their stature would take the time to send me a thank you note that it made my day.  It also made mother's day as she was busy checking out their new catalog :)

I need to go to the grocery store as we are low on everything but I just have no get up and go.  I am not going to complain about the heat since there are others out there that are having it worst that me. I can at least hide out in the A/C.

Remember last month I went and got my license tags a week before the end of the month?  Well, it was for not...as I have not gotten around to removing the old decal and applying the new one. With my luck I will get pulled over, all because of my laziness!

I am not even going to mention the five sacks of mulch that are still in the back of my trunk.  I need to move my heavy duty ice chest that holds my Kodiak canvas tent and sweep the area real well so I can put the sacks there. I only want to have to do this once but it's beginning to look like I will have to do it twice as next week is almost here and we have two out-of-town trips on the agenda.  However, there is no motivation on my part to do anything...sigh...where is my tall weathered cowboy with an iron clad back to do the heavy lifting?

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

    1. You have never heard of SAS? That stands for San Antonio Shoemakers one of the few companies that still manufacturers shoes right here in the United States.

We have a factory in Del Rio and they provide jobs for a lot of locals. They sell very comfortable shoes but most importantly they provide jobs for Americans not for Chinese.

  4. Good for SAS! That is good customer relations and good PR. I mentioned a tortilla company in one of my posting last week and even sent them an email telling them how much I liked their tortillas and could they give me a list of their retail outlets. No Reply - good product, poor PR.

    1. They certain do have excellent customer relations and PR.

As many companies. events and products that I have mentioned...let alone endorsed in my blog...this is the first time someone takes the time to thank me and I appreciate it very much.

  5. Damn MsB., I'd come help you out! from what i figure from reading these blogs, you must be in Del Rio. I am coming from Canada, and sometimes take 190 from San Antonio over, or take the higher route through Dallas, depends whether I'm stopping to see my buddy in Houston area or not. I think I'm fairly good friends with tffnguy, and own property close to him, hopefully we'll meet up some time.

    1. Hi MyPalAl - well, it is after all the thought that counts. I am happy to report that I finally unloaded those suckers and did not bust a gut in the process :D

Maybe if you are around during Chili Cook-off time we might get to meet up.

    1. I have to admit I had to google it as I had never heard of SASS. Think it would be fun to dress in the attire of yesteryear and use old guns though I am glad they let you wear modern day hearing protection as well as safety glasses.

  7. Well since you mentioned SAS because I mentioned it on my blog first then I want one of the free shoes. Do you think your mother could use the other size 13? ;)

    1. Did you score free shoes? Cool :)

I do believe a size 13 in men's shoes might be a tad large for her...jajajajaja!
