Pulling the plug

Well folks, I have decided to pull the plug on Time Warner Cable.  Since I was given so little notification and I do not want my bill to be pro-rated at the new outrageous price...I am going to go turn in my equipment as soon as I finish this post.

Will try to go to the library at least once a week until I find a more suitable alternative for going online.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  2. Now if'n it were me, I would have a Verizon rep come to your house an' check signal strength. Just a thought.

  3. Get a Verizon Hot Spot and you can carry it with you anywhere you go as long as a Verizon tower is in range. We have one an have no complaints.

    1. I want to put some emphasis on what DD has said, this part is VERY important: AS LONG AS A VERIZION TOWER IS IN RANGE.

I have had a Verizion Aircard that has served me very well for 5 years on the road WHEN I HAVE A VERIZION TOWER IN RANGE.

  4. I've been using West Central Net wireless for the past 3 years, Compared to the satellite (Wild Blue) internet I had before it is much better. Not quite the speed of cable, but still pretty good, and only $42.00 a month for the mid level service.

My options out here are very limited, no phone or cable lines.
