No need for cable

The beautiful weather we have been experiencing came to an end today and tomorrow it should be raining and in the 60's.

Made a last minute trip into town to run errands and to stock up on necessities like milk and beer  :D  Sure glad mother is not reading this!  Lol, she thinks my blog is silly and that Google lies about the number of people that visit it.

Tomorrow is a Spurs game day and Sunday is Super Bowl.  Who knew that Mexico was into American football?  The two major Mexican networks will be carrying it live like they have done for years...take that Time Warner Cable!!!  Best of all, it is beamed FREE to the border from Mexico City.

Wondering if Terlingua residents can pick it up on their television sets since they are also close to the Mexican border?

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. I had to smile when I read the part about your Mom not trusting Google. When you think about it, I wouldn't be surprised at anything Google does!

    1. Actually it is not that mother does not trust Google...it could be any entity...she just thinks that they lie so people like me think we have an audience and will keep on blogging and making money for them...have to admit she might have a point!

She has always said the following " there must be a lot of bored people out there if they find your life interesting"....jajajajaja...you got to love her sense of humor :D

  2. On blogs, most visits are by "robots" If you have 300,000 visitors, people only count bout 30%.

Well I hope to hell that the Spurs win an' somebody wins at the Super Bowl. I'm a sportsman ya know....yeah right.

    1. I know you are not into sports Billy Bob have not been reading your blog for the past seven years without realizing it.

With that said I have to give credit to my San Antonio Spurs for getting me through the worst ordeals in my life. In 1999 when we won our first NBA title...my mother was in the hospital with a broken hip.

I will have you know that she got the best care during the playoffs because I was the only person that had the TV tuned into to game during her two week hospital stay.

    1. So all of a sudden they are now "MY Spurs"....jajajajaja...you just reminded me of my dad when after misbehaving he would tell my mother that I was "HER daughter", lol... :D

You're right thought...it was a sloppy and an absolutely horrible game that we played tonight. I can not remember the last time I was so visibly disappointed at the way they executed their game plan.

The "milk" is hidden in a very well iced down cooler in Terlita and never comes into the house...put shhhhhhhh....don't tell Mom :D

    3. Your secret is safe! Sneaking around makes life more fun!

OK, "OUR" Spurs got whupped in every category last nite. LAC was rebounding from a loss and I believe the poor Orl Magic are gonna feel our wrath come Wednesday! This loss also reinforces my observation that Spurs lose when on national TV (reg season) as they were on ESPN last nite. But, all in all it is still a grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    4. Lol, you made me chuckle about the sneaking around part!

I could not help but think of you and your observation that "OUR Spurs" do not play well when they are on national TV. You definitively have a strong argument there.
