A bit apprehensive

Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment and it is making me a bit apprehensive.  It was originally scheduled for last Monday but got re-scheduled by them.

For those new to my blog...I do not have health insurance.  I usually go across the border to Mexico for all my medical needs.  Unfortunately, you need to have an American doctor in order to have your mammogram results released.

I do not go to see a doctor unless I am dying and thankfully that has not happened yet.  However, my doctor has a policy of being seen once a year or you have to start all over as a new patient.

Fortunately, my mammogram results were fine...but you know they have to find something wrong with you.  I have a history of high blood pressure, I went off all medication last year as it was making me feel lousy.  Having to track my readings every day, twice a day has not exactly put me at ease. With the new data, I know they are going to try to place me on BP lowering drugs again :(

It is only a matter of time before they order blood work...and they find out about my other ailments as well. Mainly my high cholesterol...I will be dammed if I go back on Statins once more!

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  2. Stick to your guns! I've been watching YouTube videos (I know, it takes bandwidth you don't have) of a chiropractor who says blood pressure gets high when you have inflammation or infection somewhere in your body, and in response cholesterol gets higher. Cholesterol is necessary to repair infection and inflammation. It is the building block in your body.

If you ever get a plan with more bandwidth per month, you can look up Dr. John Bergman (who has over 400 videos on umpteen medical and health subjects). The one I'm referring to is "The Truth about Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure", and is about 45 min., but it's well worth seeing. I would give you the link here, but I somehow can't make it into a link so you can just click it. It's a lot of letters & symbols to type, but here it is:

    1. Gypsy, cholesterol ain't only a building block, it's also a blood vessel blocker. Blocked blood vessels cause high blood pressure.an' high blood pressure is a leading cause of death. An' death sucks.

  3. I'm not taking any more statins regardless of what happens. I take high blood pressure meds and do the best I can. That's all you can do........
