Options

Thought I would miss going online but can't say that I did.  Another trip to San Antonio and tons of stuff to get caught up on...pretty much took up all my time.

Every year around late August and early September different kinds of plagues seem to hit the area. Some years it's bees and others flies.  This year it has been flies. If that were not bad enough, mosquitoes have joined the ranks.

I am wearing pants and my long sleeved thermal t-shirt. I keep on spraying myself with insect repellent to no avail.  These suckers are vicious!  My poor mother is highly allergic to any type of spray, so she has lathered herself up with Vick's...but they keep on biting her and the smell is keeping her up.

My best friend sent me a picture of her new travel trailer as her boyfriend washed it this weekend to make it road ready for its first, of I hope many future Chili Cook-Offs.  So this year I have the option of staying with them or bringing my own tent...I like options :)

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. Options are always good, unless you have problems making up your mind.

  2. I still love my tent, but a trailer sounds good too, and more comfortable. I can tell I'm getting old by what I just said!

    1. Gypsy, you and I share similar views on many things and this is one of them.

  3. Just got back from a 3 nite stay at MISP but crawled into the tent only to sleep. I am now eyeing a tent cot and heard good things about them - they are a little expensive but once Academy makes a Magellan model and Wally makes an Ozark Trail model the prices will drop. If you need your tent to do more for you then the tent cot won't work. The trailer sounds comfortable but I like my privacy and not sure I would like the proximity of others that close, friends or not! But the best option still is: GO SPURS GO!

    1. Lucky you, you got to go camping.

A tent cot would not work for me, I need space to spread out as I usually bring a lot of stuff with me.

The new season is just around the corner and against one of your favorite players too :)

      GSG!!!
