A very busy week

I cannot believe it has been a week since I made a post.  Have been busy as a bee, I have implemented some changes in my life so I can create a peaceful environment in my bedroom more conducive to a good night's rest.

The first thing I removed from my bedroom was my computer.  It is much too easy to turn it on and keep it on, on those long sleepless nights.

Next thing to go was my big screen television.  If I want to watch my Spurs or my Colombian soap operas, it will have to be in the living room.

Called the propane guy on Tuesday only to find out he no longer works there. Place an order for Wednesday.  Called them early that day to confirm that they would be coming, said they were. Waited all day for nothing as they never showed up or call to let me know there would be a delay.

Spoke to a lady who was very apologetic and said I would be the first customer on Thursday. Get a call at 8:15 a.m. from the propane truck driver, he is from Carrizo Springs (a city 98 miles away 157 Km) and he does not know his way around Del Rio.  Met him at Tractor and Supply so he could follow me home.

I do not know if the Del Rio office was closed or if their driver went on vacation. This poor man was filling out the orders the local guy did not get to yesterday.  Got a call around 3:00 p.m. from the same delivery guy wanting me to tell him how to get to my house...I had to remind him he had already filled my order.  I think I am going to switch providers.

Would you believe I went to Walmart on Friday?  Me, neither!  Actually,  I only went in for a container of cut up papaya as I am too lazy to cut it up myself. It was not bad at all, got in the 20 item or less line and was done in less than ten minutes.

The parking lot at the laundromat by my house has been packed all week. Friday on my way home saw only a few cars and decided to stop.

The owners like to decorate it for every holiday and Christmas was not the exception.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams and a Merry Christmas.

Spurs Corner

What a week! Sunday the retiring of Tim Duncan's jersey to the rafters. So many games played in one weeks time, some great like the game against the Houston Rockets. a forgettable one against the Clippers and a fantastic game last night.

As much as I hate having to pay $136.02 monthly to DISH,..my Spurs are worth every dime :)

    1. Hi Jo, I am beginning to think that either people got their shopping done early or they shopped online because the crowds are not as large as in years past.

I hope you had a great Christmas as well.
