Where does the time go?

I can not believe we are 16 days into the month. Where does the time go?  There was no way I was going to go either to a grocery or a big box store this past weekend so went today.  We were practically out of everything since I have not had a chance to go shopping to Ciudad Acuna.

Went to Walmart and loved that they hardly had a crowd. I guess most people spent a pretty penny on mother's day presents this past weekend. They had a mark down on flowers to clear them out. A dozen roses were going for $2.00 and $3.00 certainly not what they originally sold for.

The last time I turned the car A/C it seemed to be in need of freon but today it worked just fine. Hope it was just a fluke.

Spurs Corner

What can I say?  I am disgusted and appalled at the dirty play by Zaza Pachulia but not surprised. He is a dirty player and has a history of trying to injure other players in the league.  Last year when he played for the Dallas Mavericks he was trying to take Kawhi down by forcefully pulling on his arm which could have dislocated or broken it.

I am glad Kawhi is going to get a chance to rest until Game 3 but this certainly changes the dynamics of this series.  Now is LaMarcus Aldridge's turn to step up to the plate, this is going to be the most important playoffs series of his career.

Go Spurs Go!!!

  1. know what you mean about the time going by too fast because I have the same experience. It's Monday, and then I seem to wake up the next morning and it's Friday again.

I am not a sports fan but I read your Spurs Corner today. I'm appalled that the refs (or his coach) don't remove a dirty player from the game. That should never be tolerated and what kind of example is it giving young people who see it? There are enough people in this world with that personality type who will hurt someone to get ahead, and I hate to see them get away with it and be rewarded as well.

    1. It benefits his team and it benefits the NBA if the finals are between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

  2. Just got home from my curandera - she didn't have good news. Pretty sure I smelled tequila on her breath so maybe she couldn't see her crystal ball (or whatever she uses) clearly. We can only hope for the best.

I promise ZaZa won't be enjoying his stay in SA this weekend. They should probably just say he's sick and leave him in Oakland.

    3. I wrote my reply in the wrong box, I can't figure this cell phone crap.
Though I will never be able to prove it,IMHO Draymond Green is behind this.

    4. If your car AC needs Freon in it that means it has a leak in the system.

    5. Thanks Barney, that is exactly why I hope it is a fluke. I had a car that had constant a/c problems, it ended up being cheaper to replace it.

Andy V, stage an intervention & get your curandera into rehab NOW, dammit!

  4. But she was correct.....maybe wait til this series is over?

Zaza having MRI this morning. How convenient. My guess is that they will leave him home as a "precaution". Don't need a curandera to figure that out.

Unfortunately I think Pop's rant motivated Stephanie and her Golden Warriors more than our boys.

    Anyway, GSG!

    1. I do not for a New York minute believe he is injured. I think they invented it so he doesn't have to make the trip to San Antonio.

  5. The only one that showed up was Jonathan Simmons. We need to trade LaMarcus, for what he is paid he has not delivered.

  6. Well, I guessed wrong about Zsa Zsa. He made the trip. Hope he has thick skin cuz he's gonna get it from the home crowd. Big time.

    1. I hope we go down like the Celtics, fighting and believing and getting a win in Cleveland when everyone counted them out even more so since they did it without their best player.

The thought of a possible sweep tomorrow is depressing.
