Crappy Weather / Fill-up / Appointments Galore

We have had crappy weather lately. It has been cloudy, humid and rainy but at least this has kept the temperatures down.

Finally filled up my car at $2.19 per gallon for regular unleaded.  I usually fill up at Stripes and noticed that a lot of pumps were out of gas...perhaps people made a run on it before the next price hike?

Monday we had two separate doctor's appointments, today the home health care worker came over, tomorrow we have another appointment at the Wound Care Unit of the local hospital. At least she is making progress even though by looking at a picture you would not know it unless one was knowledgeable about this type of things which I do not happen to be.

Monday the doctor finally authorized the use of a topical numbing ointment as well as Tramadol to deal with the pain because believe me she is in a LOT of pain.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

Spurs Corner

I do not know why I thought tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks would be a cakewalk because it wasn't.

Manu never ceases to amaze me.  Can hardly wait until Kawhi and Tony are healthy and playing again.

GSG!!!

    1. This picture was taken at the hospital where they pick on the yellow part of the wound (it has to come off) but its removal is painful.

  3. Oh. my. gosh. That's horrifying. She tore her skin up that badly just by crawling to the next room? Poor, sweet little MsBMom. That must be utterly excruciating.

I hope and, yes, I *pray* that she heals much more quickly than she has so far. Dear God, please, please, speed this up!

PS) Preview doesn't work here anymore? I lost one comment, reconstructed it & lost it again (this time I remembered to copy first, though)

    1. I used the term "crawl" loosely because if she had been able to crawl she might have been able to get up. Actually, she dragged herself on the floor and tore up her skin in the process.

I thought it was only me but I constantly loose comments both on my as well as other blogs so I just have to copy them before I hit Publish or risk it going to "comment heaven".

    1. That is what the doctors explained to me regarding the aging process and the resulting thin skin. It also does not help that she is on blood thinners (on hold until she gets better).

The medications have helped a great deal but they have to pick at the yellow skin and remove it and it is a slow and painful process in particular for a woman her age.

  5. Ouch-ouch-ouch! I hope the healing is swift.

$2.19/gal??? I noticed some of the "cheaper" stations are coming just under $3/gal.

    1. One good thing about living in Texas is that we have lower gasoline prices in comparison to the rest of the nation.
