A nice visit with Barney

This afternoon I made my way to San Pedro Campground part of the Amistad National Recreational Area. This campground does not have as many campers as the others so I was happy to see that there were several RV's, tents and a pop-up camping van making good use of the facilities.

It is always gratifying to meet up with fellow bloggers that I have been following for many years. Barney is a walking encyclopedia on West Texas and beyond and loves to share his knowledge with others. We had a very nice visit.

Summer weather is already upon us, we have been experiencing temperatures in the low 90's. The only saving grace has been the strong winds making things a little more bearable.  We really need some rain.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

    1. When it comes to attending the Chili Cook-off you would be surprised how much I can fit into small spaces :D

Actually I am scared of motorcycles...the one in the picture belongs to the husband of an acquaintance.

  2. We're parked by Monterey Bay in Calif, too warm has not been a problem here! The best price on gas we've seen has been $3.15 but the sunsets are good!
It's a different thing to actually meet up with an internet friend.

I like this header picture, very organized looking camp!

    1. Monterey Bay sounds like a delightful place to be at. California probably has the highest gasoline prices in the nation. My last fill up was at $2.19 per gallon.

It is funny how organized I can be when I arrive but breaking camp is a totally different matter.

    1. I guess Barney clarified that!

I was having a panic attack when we let our guard down and they came back and briefly led in the third quarter. For once the last three minutes of the fourth quarter went our way and helped seal their fate.

Should I take your "GSG" vs "GYSG" to mean you want to jump back on the bandwagon?

  4. Oh, yes. Didn't you say that the first blog reader to visit you gets the pick of the litter?
