ReplyDeleteDe nada amigo.
DeleteGlad your ok, we have some skipping arounf up here today too.
ReplyDeleteWould love to be able to watch the news to see what is going on weather wise in the state but satellite dish went out on Saturday and they never came to fix it today like they were supposed to. You take care as well.
DeleteIs that where your dentist is located? If so, you may need to postpone any appointments. . .
ReplyDeleteThe tornado took place in the working class neighborhood section close to the maquiladoras which is in the outskirts of the city and not close to Ciudad Acuna proper.
DeleteThe section where doctors, dentists, pharmacies, stores and restaurants that cater to tourists as you enter Ciudad Acuna was not affected at all.
Did you get high winds where you are? I hope you and your Mother are ok.
ReplyDeleteAt around 6:00 a.m. we experienced a severe thunderstorm with lighting, hail and high winds but fortunately no tornado or other damage.
DeleteAre tornados unheard of in your part of the world?
ReplyDeleteHi vwrobb,
DeleteWhile Del Rio has had tornadoes in the past, it is not a common event in Mexico. They do occur but not very often. Per the Zocalo newspaper the last recorded tornado in Ciudad Acuna took place 110 ago.
Thank you for commenting.
Sorry, meant to say 110 years ago.
