Welcome rains

Made a trip to the local hospital so my mother could have her monthly labs performed. We have gone in the mornings, noon and now after lunch and the wait seems to be the same. It is obvious they need more personnel in the registration department. They will not draw blood or do any work unless you register and present your insurance or put down your cash first and the wait is long!!!

Last night I commented to mother that I had received a Rain Alert e-mail from the Weather Channel, 40 percent chance, we both had a good laugh!

I will be darn if the sky did not turn menacing as we left the hospital.  Were planning on a trip to HEB but fearing another encounter with hail we decided to go home instead.  We timed it perfectly as it began to rain minutes after I put the car in the garage.

It rained for quite a while but it was that beneficial type of rain that soaks in and does not run off. While an estimate...the Weather Channel is saying .41 of an inch. It reached a high of 96 today but after the welcome rains it went down to a very comfortable 73 degrees.
