You are probably thinking...there are no trees in the desert why would you want to learn to do that? Well (I know you are laughing Dizzy) I need to wash and dry my tarps and our clothesline is so old it will probably buckle from the weight.
For those new to the blog last year during Terlingua 2013 we had an unprecedented rain event on the last day and I had to pack up wet gear and get out while the getting was good. Here is a link to that post http://terlinguadreams.blogspot.com/2013/11/sunday-debacle.html
I did not even go outside until late this afternoon as the temperature reached 101...I know, I am a wimp! Heard this little meow and saw the little orange kitty running towards me. Darn thing is so lovable and he cried so much I went and got him a hot dog like last time...followed by a second one.
This was his second hotdog so he wasn't as interested in eating as he was at posing for the camera. |
I decided to name him Ralph. He was my bodyguard this afternoon as I made my way to check-up on Walter but you will have to read that on Walter's blog. You can get there by clicking on my header picture or this link http://mylittlewalter.blogspot.com/
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
I'm surprised you didn't name him Timmy. Or Tony. Or Manu. Or Pop or even Kawhi!
ReplyDeleteLol Andy, it is as though you knew me in real life :D
DeleteI must admit I did consider naming him Kawhi but figured it would be a bit hard for most people to pronounce or remember (that is for none Spur fans). Then I thought I could call him Leonard but it just seemed to long and everyone would end up calling him Leo...so went with Ralph.
Ralph is good.
DeleteIt works for me :)
DeleteWell. . . MsB, looks like you have a new addition to your family. Will you take the kitty to Terlingua with you? If not, will your Mom feed it? You know you are going to make a pet out of him, right?
ReplyDeleteNo Dizzy, he is only a visitor like all the cats that have at one time or another come to sleep during the day under the cars. There are no dogs here, it is peaceful and they feel safe.
DeleteHe has a home of his own.
Wish I could go outside and find a cute dog coming toward me looking for some food and a home!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately where we live there are a lot of animals that are abandoned, underfed or neglected.
DeleteFour years ago a dog came and adopted us. I put up signs looking for his owners and took an ad out in the local paper but no one called. We had to go to Houston so he left when he realized there was no one here to feed him.
Ed, you have been reading me for a long time, you know I name all the critters that come to my mother's house. From cotton tail bunnies to horses that do not even belong to me.
ReplyDeleteThe only one that owns me is Walter.
He's got the sweetest expression, doesn't he? I'm a dog person but that precious little face of his is just irresistible. You found your TWC ! [Tiny Wandering Cat!]
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that he looks just like my late cat whom I had for 14 years and he tugs at my heart strings.
DeleteI am not ready for another pet, they require a lot of attention especially him still being little. I like having him around especially when I go visit Walter in case I encounter a snake.
TWC...I like that :)
