Dog days of summer

The dog days of summer are here.  Even Pedrito had to cool down.  I originally bought him this galvanized tub for his drinking water but he has now turned it into his soaking tub.

Have been putting off trimming the mesquite branches near the clothesline but I had no choice but to tackle that chore today.  While I still had the energy decided to prune the branches on the shade trees where Pedrito is tied.  Then I took on the low mesquite branches on the adjacent lot that I could not trim while Boris was alive..that is, unless I wanted to be attacked.

Had hoped to be able to go to the pharmacy at HEB but the day just flew by...maybe tomorrow?
