Trip to the lake

Having run out of my blood pressure medication had to make a trip to HEB pharmacy this afternoon. Was surprised that there were very few shoppers but with a heat index of 105...I can see why.


Gasoline was going for $1.97 so I gassed up.


Waited until 7:30 p.m. to take a trip to the lake and my favorite campground Governors Landing. There were lots of people there but not as many as on Memorial Day weekend.


The sun was going down but decided to go check the 277 Campground.  I have not been here in a while.


Was happy to see campers enjoying the amenities.

    It has been a long time since I have been down in the Del Rio area. Not sure if I will ever get back. Not that I don't like it, in fact, I love south Texas.

      I hope one day you make it back. Del Rio is in west Texas, south Texas is the Valley.

    I really want to go camping but am holding out for cooler weather and fewer campers in September.

      I must say I was not expecting it. Thought the money OKC was offering him would keep him there but I guess what the GSW are offering in not too shabby either.

      Like most players he is probably chasing that elusive ring. With four future hall of famers in their roster now, it will be difficult for Lebron's team to defend their NBA title next year. Maybe Lebron can bring his friend Dwayne Wade to Cleveland?

      I was not expecting it at all. I think OUR Spurs are in good shape to have a great season. It's OK with me if Timmy retires and can enjoy life and his kids while he can. They are saying Boris Diaw will be sent away - I liked him a lot but that's the bizness side of it rearing its ugly head.

      Stay cool, Ss and buy that pooch a bigger swimming pool at the dollar store!
