There was a long line at the Border Patrol Check Point near Uvalde, Texas. Here they verbally ask you to confirm your nationality and then send you on your way.
Decided to fill up at the Stripes in Uvalde at $1.98 per gallon in case I had the misfortune to get lost again. Should of consulted the web page one of my readers had given me on another post. It was six cents cheaper at the HEB and Walmart down the road.
My mother likes the nopalitos (tender cactus) and egg tacos that are prepared at this establishment but today we were running a bit late so she passed.
The doctor cleared her to have cataract surgery, signed and faxed the form to the eye doctor. Since I have yet to receive a call back from the surgery coordinator decided to google the directions and go talk to him in person.
Unfortunately, I was not aware that they close early on Friday...just my luck! Decided to find the surgical center instead and had no problems locating it. I am proud to report that we had no issues getting lost today...about time!
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
Where is the Little Taco Factory? I will be headed that way in about two weeks.
ReplyDeleteIt is located in Uvalde. It is adjacent to the corner Shell station that is across the street from the new Stripes.
DeleteIf someone would ask me my nationality, I would say "Texas".
ReplyDeleteDepending on whom the officer is...that might not fly. Younger officers tend to have a better sense of humor.
DeleteHad that surgery on both eyes, no problems.
ReplyDeleteThat is good to hear.
