Went to see the doctor Tuesday, she was very happy with the results of my labs. I have been off Statins for six months and she wanted to see if I would be able to keep my cholesterol levels down without medication.and I managed to do that.
My glucose levels also went down even though she cut my dosage in half on my last visit. She, therefore, took me off the medication...yeah!!!
I am back down to just taking my blood pressure pill. High blood pressure runs on both sides of my family and I am ok with having to take this medication for the rest of my life.
It has been raining daily and my nerves have been on edge, I do not want a repeat of last week.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
NBA Corner
I can hardly believe the NBA Finals start tomorrow. I have not decided who I am going to root for, I disliked both equally during the regular season. However, after the dirty play by ZaZa on Kawhi Leonard, I have come to deeply dislike the Golden State Warriors.
The only bright side is that now I will be able to do what I could not during the regular season or the playoffs and that is to enjoy a nice cold beer :)
Excellent news! So glad to hear this success story moderating the diet to get off the statins. Congratulations, Ss! Enjoy that cold one.
ReplyDeleteI am pulling for LeBum I guess. Same reason except stronger than "deeply dislike" to the "H" word.
Thank you Sb.
DeleteThe only good thing about game 1 was the first quarter. Other than that it was boring, I dislike blowouts.
Congratulations on cutting the drugs down!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rob.
DeleteThat's great news! Congrats are in order.
ReplyDeleteThank you Suerte.
DeleteI'm a firm believer that most medications are over-prescribed, and most problems can be eliminated or held in check with proper diet and exercise. You're doing great!
ReplyDeleteYou and I think alike on many topics Gypsy including this one. I wish I had your workout ethic, I know that would help me a lot.
DeleteWonderful news. Your dedication to following the Doc's advice paid off.
ReplyDeleteIt must be a double relief for you, since you are your Mom's primary caretaker. (If you get in medical trouble, she's in a terrible fix.)
Thank you Leilani.
