Strong Winds / Red Flag Warning

I barely slept last night as the winds were howling and making the living room window rattle as this is an old house. I sat in the living room recliner hoping to relax but Mr. Joe's motion-detecting lights kept on coming on and shining onto the blinds not because of the wind but because I believe the sensitivity settings need to be adjusted...this happens nightly.

I was trying to watch TV but we had a couple of power surges so I gave up and decided to watch YouTube videos on my cellphone instead.

The news at noon confirmed that our wind gusts were in the 39 mph range...

It came as no surprise that we were also under a Red Flag Warning.

A breakdown of the bad weather last night in Texas...

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

    1. Thank you, Rick and Kathy. They did calm down last night but this afternoon they are back up :-(

  2. March won't be pretty this year I think. We have no rain behind us, and apparently none before us. Lots of fires here over the weekend. They even made the national news. A friend had to evacuate. Said it was the first night her dog and cat had spent away from home. But they all survived and their house was intact when they returned. It's reminding me of 2011. Argh.

    1. March, so far, has not been pretty, and in eight days, it will be April when we traditionally have our "hail events"...I will have to start getting cardboard to protect dad's old car from the elements.

I did hear there were several fires across the state. I am glad your friend, her pets, and her home were unscathed. I will have to go back to 2011 the year I started my blog as I do not remember what happened that far back.

Weatherman just announced tonight will be cold going down to 35 degrees...not what I wanted to hear :-(

    1. This winter has hit us Texans hard and things are not looking good for April either.

Glad your winds have calmed down. Many of the lady vandwellers I follow on YouTube had to leave both Nevada and Arizona because they were so bad.
