New Record Setting Day for Del Rio, Texas

Though we are still technically in Spring we have been experiencing very hot temperatures of late.  Today we set a new record high for this day of 108 degrees breaking a record of 104 degrees set in 1973.

Another record setting day

After watching the news today and seeing the incredible hot temperatures in Arizona, Nevada and California...I feel like a whiner mentioning that Del Rio had a record setting temperature of 108 degrees.  By comparison we had a mild day.

I am getting fed up with Weatherbug so I decided to download The Weather Channel app and see if I like it better.  I most certainly do...I get to see the temperature in Del Rio, Houston and Terlingua at the same time. Must say I was so surprised to see that Del Rio and Houston had higher temperatures than Terlingua!

I did not go outside until 8:30 p.m. to water the trees and plants.  I could not believe mother's neighbors were actually having a cook out this afternoon...to each his own, I guess :-(
