The weather forecasters have been saying that today (Thursday) would be a warm day in Texas...but we know that weather persons do not always get it right. This morning it was foggy, gray, and cool as I went outside to feed my boys. The sun made an appearance at exactly noon but only for two minutes so I pretty much decided the warm forecast would not come to pass.
Around two o'clock the sun finally came out and it got warmer so decided to handwash one of my winter jackets and put the sun to good use. Then the winds started and while it aided in the drying process it did not feel as warm. It was therefore surprising when the 4:00 p.m. News said it was 91 degrees in Del Rio tied with Laredo, Texas as the state hotspots.
Went back outside to see if it really felt that high...and yep, it did...thankfully, it will be back in the '70s for the next few days as I am not ready for hot temperatures just yet.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
UPDATED
I was watching San Antonio's KSAT-12 News at Noon today when they mentioned that Del Rio set a new record high for the day when it reached 92 degrees yesterday. Sorry Laredo, we were the state's hotspot yesterday :)
