After not going anywhere in nine days, I have gone to town three days in a row. Last night I never even went to bed. Have been busy paying my Harris County property taxes. It just chaffs my derriere to have to pay MUD taxes (municipal utility district) on top of the already high water and sewer rates I pay, even though I have used zero gallons in the past 21 months.
Seems everyone has or is coming down with the flu. After being on my death bed last year I have been taking real good care of myself. My uncle who religiously gets his annual flu shot came down with it as well. He was supposed to spend Christmas as well as New Year's with us but it was not in the cards.
Was wondering how many people in cyberspace do e-banking? I guess I am just used to getting a statement and being able to file it in case I ever need it in the future. Being realistic though how many times have I had to refer to a bank statement months or years later?
I could of saved me a trip into town yesterday by being able to access my account online. However, if I sign up, I would forfeit my paper statement. Will have to think about it.
I do not know what was wrong with my camera today. At first I thought my batteries were low but now I think it might be on its last legs. Anyway, I was not able to get you a picture of today's gasoline prices but they are unchanged from Monday.
The thing that stood out was the difference in price when it came to diesel.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
Hope to one day make my Terlingua Dreams a reality and purchase my little piece of heaven in the remote West Texas region of the Chihuahuan desert.

Who do I blame?
Last Wednesday I contacted my Credit Union in Amarillo, Texas so they could send me a check. I have never had a problem with them either when I lived in Houston nor now that I live in Del Rio, though they are located two to three mail days away.
I have had to drive into town every day this week and that does not make me happy. Called them yesterday and they told me to give it another day!
There is also the very real possibility that my check arrived but that the postal service placed it in the wrong P.O. Box. Just today I returned a letter that was in my box and it did not even have a P.O. Box number...it had a street address! So who do I blame?
I really do not want to have to pay for a wire transfer but time is becoming a factor as my Harris County property taxes are due on January 31st and I do not plan on being delinquent.
On another note we have had simply beautiful spring like days in the 70's though that will change tomorrow. They are even mentioning that four letter word.....SNOW.....sure hope not :-(
