Told the ladies that I was sorry but my mother was sick and asleep and gave them cards I had printed out with her phone number. Used the excuse that gasoline prices were too high for them to drive all the way out here only for us not to be home or in this case for them not to be able to see her. I would never show up at someones house unannounced unless it was an emergency.
Went to pick up the doctor's orders and then headed to the hospital to pre-register her for next week. Made a stop at the recycling center, post office and the local bar-b-q place I frequent. As I stood in line I saw this sign and could not help but smile...it reminded me of two bloggers which will go unnamed :D
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
I wish I had a daughter like you. Your mother is a lucky woman. just in case nobody else ever says it. the rat
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice compliment Mr. Rat...thank you!
DeleteHope the x-rays help the doc to pinpoint the problem - did he prescribe anti-inflamatories or only pain killers? Has he mentioned an MRI - it is wickedly expensive, but it does give an in depth view of the whole area.
ReplyDeleteDani since they do not know what is causing the back pain she is on pain killers for now.
DeleteShe is going to have a CT scan.
I like that sign, for sure and I will refer your post to Barney and Billy Bob.
ReplyDeleteBarney and Billy Bob? Gosh but I did not mention any names :D
DeletePrayers your way for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteThank you Suerte.
DeleteHope they can get your mom straightened out without surgery. I like the sign and that's one reason I gave up fishing years ago. That and having to buy license to do something that should be a right.
ReplyDeleteSurgery would definitively not be a good thing.
DeleteWhile I do not fish, I do agree with you that one should not have to buy a license.
