Looking forward to a lazy weekend

I am so looking forward to this weekend and being able to rest up a bit.  It has been a week of running around and appointments.  I think I work harder now than when I actually had a job and was forced to work 60 plus hours...or perhaps I just feel it more.

It has been raining quite a bit lately...an event that is always welcomed in the desert lands of West Texas.  I was secretly hoping that my doctor's appointment would be cancelled, as I hate driving in the rain.

The nurse practitioner as expected doubled my dosage of high blood pressure medication. Hopefully I will soon get it under control. On a positive note, I did not pay $95.00 for the office visit but $59.00 and my medication still falls in the $4.00 generic category even though the dosage is higher.

When she asked me if I had any other problems, I hesitated for a minute...then told her that my legs had been hurting due to the weather. She told me to take Tylenol.  Did not want to mention anything about my diagnosis of Fibromyositis as I could see dollar signs dancing in my head.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

Spurs Corner

Sometimes, I think I am psychic...remember I mentioned that only for one night we were the second seed?  Well, I was right...only for one night, we are the sixth seed now.  However, I do remember back when I followed the Houston Rockets, they  managed to win a back to back championship against all odds and in that same seed...so why not us?

We had a severe electrical storm Wednesday night. I could not for the life of me get a decent reception either on the radio or online. I got one of my hunches and knew we would lose...so I just turned off the radio.  While it does not rank up there with that prior "unmentionable loss"...it still stung!

  1. Taking tylenol gave me stomach problems, like nausea, diarrhea. Can't take aleve either, my feet swell. Not much i can take without other side effects. That's why i rarely take anything, and i need to.

    1. Fortunately I have no problems with Tylenol or Aleve but prefer aspirin.

  2. It's good to hear that the $$ part of your medical stuff is working out better than you'd hoped!

  3. Those flowers are beautiful, with their orange and purple blooms. That is bright and joyous combination.

  4. While I'm not positive on it, I'm still pretty sure YOU jinxed 'em, Ss! (((grin)))

But not to worry, I don't see anyone beating Pop in a 7 game series barring injuries. It's gonna be a nerve-wracking next several weeks but hopefully culminating in a 6th river parade. Your Spursbrother-in-arms.

    1. Lol, Andy! Me jinx OUR SPURS....NEVER!

I watched GS play New Orleans yesterday, it was so boring until the 4th quarter that NO tried to make a come back. I still do not see how we could have lost to the Pelicans (me shaking my head).

Will be a late one tonight but I wont miss it :)

      GSG!!!!

  5. Don't take too much Tylenol if you can help it as it can lead to liver damage, and that's a known fact.

    1. That is very true Gypsy. I avoid taking anything that contains Acetaminophen because of the liver damage issue. I do my liver enough damage once a year in Terlingua :)
