Storms, Heat, no Electricity

Yesterday it got to 90 degrees and the humidity was stifling, for a while there I thought I was back in Houston.  We had storms last night as well as this morning.

I slept with the fan on since up until this morning we had not turned the air conditioner on for the season.  I heard a big bang and then the breeze from my fan ceased.  Yep, the transformer blew and we were left with no electricity.  It did not come back on for almost three hours.

Could not call it in or go online to report it as I would have to have power to do that, so I went back to sleep.  It got to 89 degrees so this afternoon the A/C officially came on.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

Spurs Corner

I am so proud of my Spurs!  They have been playing so well :)

I am like a kid at a candy store watching all the different teams giving it all they got.  Some are disappointments but that's the playoffs.

  1. Dang, been running our AC for quite some time. I guess it is a dry heat out that way versus her near Houston. The humidity gets us but it was not too bad today and tonight is beautiful with extra bright stars and frogs yelling.

  3. That same storm rolled through our part of Texas. The wind was impressive and the light show was something out of this world. Thankfully, we had just had our trees trimmed, so there were only a few branches to pick up and toss on the fire.

    Go Spurs Go!

    1. I was just wondering how it was out Terlingua way. Can not forget the terrible sand storms I have been in but my faithful tent kept me safe and cozy.

    1. Lol, Andy...I knew you were going to say that :D

The Clippers are a good team and it was expected that they would come out to play with a sense of urgency.

We could have used some of Danny Green's three point shooting but I forgot how many he missed six, seven? What is wrong with that boy? Lets not mention the missed free throws.

Whomever wins tonight will win the series...lets hope it's us!
