Blogger problems / Bargain Block / Discovery Plus

Both yesterday and today we were in the low 90's but it did not feel like it due to the winds. This morning they started out of the north which brought a nice cool breeze and this afternoon out of the west which worked well for drying the clothes in the solar clothes dryer.

I am once again getting a box where you type your blog but it does not look anything like what I am used to. I have a feeling it is going to once again combine all this into one paragraph. Penelope said she has heard other bloggers complain about this new feature (honestly did we need this?) but I have not heard it mentioned in any of the blogs I follow.

I will keep it short as it would drive me crazy to have to read this especially in those blogs where they cover a lot of subjects. Today I watched a new series on HGTV even wrote down the name but I can not find my notepad...CRS sucks! Anyway, I think it's called Bargain Block where a couple buys houses in the Cleveland area from the city for a thousand dollars and remodels them themselves. 

The selling price includes the furniture something the other shows do not. I have been noticing a lot of ads to sign-up for Discovery Plus for only $4.99 a month. Does anyone reading me subscribe to it and if so would you recommend it?

Our first power outage since the deep Texas February freeze

These past two days we have been having wonderful temperatures in the '60s, gray skies, and today even light showers. This afternoon I was in the middle of a telephone call when the lights went out at 1:25 p.m. for no apparent reason.

I fully expected the grid to go down sooner rather than later after our Texas February deep freeze. I actually thought that would have happened two weeks ago when for two consecutive days we broke area records...one day it was 102 and the next 103...many air conditioners were put to work on those days. Today it was 64 degrees not exactly air conditioner weather. The power came back on at 2:47 p.m.

This evening I am having yet another problem with Blogger as I type this a new format or box has sprung up on me so I have no idea how this is going to turn out. 

As I hit Preview Button before I post it, it has crammed everything together though I typed this in five separate paragraphs. I just do not have the time to figure this out...maybe it is also happening to others? Tomorrow summer begins in West Texas we will be in the '90s into the foreseeable future.

Two MRI's

If it wasn't because this is my cyber journal...I would not even attempt a post tonight. It has taken me over three hours just to answer a couple of comments,  I am not even on my main computer...the problematic one.

I had gone to Val Verde Regional Medical Center on Monday to pre-register mother and to inquire on some charges that we would be responsible for. Was told they would get back to me but they never did, though I called them on three occasions. Thursday I decided to go in person and come to find out they had not even contacted her insurance...then their computer system went down.  The lady said she would call me first thing Friday morning...no call.  Called them only to be told their system was not up yet!

Their computer system going down is nothing new, it even happened when it was brand new. Good thing I had pre-registered her.  I get more disillusioned with the medical field as each day goes by.  I often wonder what will happen when I get older and have to compete with the rest of the baby boomers for medical appointments and procedures.  They are understaffed now...I can only imagine how it will be then.

I am having all types of problems posting this.  For some reason I can not get rid of a big chunk of blank space at the top...it is not letting me crop it :(

Cyber Journal Note:

Mother had two MRI's on Friday Sept 12th.

Experiencing technical difficulties...

Have been having a heck of a time with this computer, blogger, and Photobucket. More likely than not user error being the biggest culprit. :-(

You know I always try to answer all the comments left on my blog as I appreciate each and every one of them. I thank you for taking the time to leave them but for some reason it is not letting me respond to them.  Before they used to go to "comment heaven" if I first hit Preview but now even if I hit Publish they are disappearing.

This has taken me about 35 minutes to type.  I have gotten the following message about six times from blogger "An error ocurrred while trying to save or publish your post.  Please try again."  Then in blue it has Dismiss.

Have hit Dismiss numerous times and then it locks on me.  Darn it all...too much aggravation!!!

If I am able to, I am going to try to go to the library...perhaps in a different computer I wont experience these same problems.
