Yesterday and today we have had rather chilly temperatures for this part of the country. Yesterday it was 55 degrees in the morning and today it got down to 48. A sharp contrast from the 90's of a few days ago. No complains here, I am loving this weather.
For the past couple of days we have had strong winds as well, glad they are gone. Tried to do a blog post two nights ago but once again I was jinxed by the Internet gods! So as not to bore you I will put the message as a Cyber Journal note for future reference.
Would you like to see the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight for free and live along the Mexican border? TV Azteca is carrying it live for free in Mexico whereas in the United States it is a pay-per-view event.
How do you do that? Unplug your cable connection from your TV and do a channel scan to pick up the Mexican channels that are beamed to the border from Mexico City. It is going to be carried by channel 7 but in HDTV's I believe it is channel 25.1 or something like that. It will be broadcast starting at 9:00 p.m. This has been a public service announcement :)
Not much going on except me being glued to the TV watching the playoffs.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
Cyber Journal Note
Web acceleration Client Error (515.2) Upstream TCP Connection Establishment Timeout.
The web Acceleration Client could not create a TCP connection with the web server or proxy server. Retrying the web page may connect the problem.
Did a Windows Network Diagnostics and it gave me the following message....The connection between access point, router or cable modem and the internet is broken.
How did I solve the issue? Unplugged the modem and router and went to sleep!
Hope to one day make my Terlingua Dreams a reality and purchase my little piece of heaven in the remote West Texas region of the Chihuahuan desert.

Jinxed by the Internet Gods
I do not know what is going on but I am obviously jinxed when it comes to Internet service, providers and reception.
In Del Rio we do not have many Wi-Fi locations. Even the local library does not have a very good signal. On my last three visits I have barely been able to answer a few comments and then it goes away.
I must say the people that work there have been very helpful, even helping me debug my computer but the lack of reception is something that happens to almost everyone and they are aware of the problem.
If I use their computers I am limited to one 30 minute session per day. If it is not crowded...which is never the case...you are allowed two sessions. However, you are not allowed to upload photos to Photobucket so how can I add them to my post? Who wants to read a blog without pictures? Especially when it comes to the Chili Cook-off :(
I had enough of not even being able to read my e-mails, so late Friday I bit the bullet and though I hate the word...I committed...to a two-year contract on a hot spot.
Thought it would be great, I would no longer have to make the trip into town or fight the expansion project currently underway at the library. It took me HOURS to do the last post. I was barely getting two bars and then it would drop to one.
It never dawned on me that because of our physical location (very close to Mexico) and lack of towers in this area...I would have the same problem I did when I had Cricket as my ISP. Worked like a charm when I was in town but not at my mother's house!
Just like with Cricket, I am currently blogging from the kitchen. It was a later addition and does not have the rock exterior that gives me one bar if I am blogging from my bedroom. Like Billy Bob would say...this sucks!
