My poor flowers :-( |
This is the spot where my Kodiak Canvas tent used to be |
Looking to the north of the property. This is where Cliff and friends have so kindly freed up a lot of room by cutting down pesky mesquites trees :-) |
Per Weatherbug we got .06 of an inch but it seemed like a lot more. The high today was 91 and the low 69 with winds at the peak of the storm from the NW at 38 mph. It dropped 18 degrees real quick like.
Set up my rain catchment system for Dummies :D |
I hope you too were the recipient of some liquid gold. It was really needed in this part of West Texas.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
I guess it is feast or famine.
ReplyDeleteAt least in West Texas that's pretty much how we roll Lou.
DeleteGood hearing from you!
Over here near Natalia and Lytle, we got some good rain but we were spared much of the real damaging rain and hail that they saw just north of us in Von Ormy and Castroville. My grass is looking great!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were spared the bad weather, specially the hail. Thumbs up on that grass...we only have weeds :D
DeleteWe got a 14 inch rain yesterday. (The drops fell 14 inches apart for a few minutes) Been in the 20 to 30% chance of rain for several days now, but still only drops. 40% chance today, but the Hands across the river at Lejitas is supposed to be today so I hope it holds off another day for rain and or hail.
ReplyDeleteDarn Tffnguy, I figured you all would have gotten more. Those weather guys in San Antonio (city we get our news from) kept on saying that there was a lot of rain in the Big Bend area!
DeleteWell of course the Big Bend area is huge but they are still liars...grrrrrrrrrrrr!
We got about a two inch rain here at the Y in Terlingua. It was two inches between raindrops for about ten good minutes today. I'm glad that you all got some rain at least. We all need it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a shame Charlton! You guys really need it at least I can not complain too much all I have to do is turn on the water.
DeleteThankfully Del Rio does not depend on the Rio Grande or Amistad Dam for our water source or we would be in deep trouble. We have a gem called San Felipe Springs. :-)
Glad you got some, I got 3/10th's and 3 gallons of lightning at Sanderson.
ReplyDeleteThree gallons of lighting...lol :D
