So much for Walmart Pre-Black Friday Online...

I found two items in the Walmart Black Friday Ad that I just could not do without...actually I could of...just thought they were good buys.  I saved them to my personal list a week ago but noticed that one of them said it was Out of Stock, how can it be out of stock when the sale has not even begun?

Surely they would re-stock for this evening's Pre-Black Friday online sale that started tonight at 9:00 p.m. CST?  I logged in at 8:30 p.m. so I could quickly place my order and be done with.  I submitted my purchase at 9:01 p.m. but got that little thing that goes around and around and the following message:

We're having trouble with your request. Please wait a moment and then try again.

The item that was out of stock last week was still out of stock. It was a 40" TV for the kitchen where I usually watch my Spurs games while I wash dishes or clean up after dinner. I currently have an old 26" LED television that I bought when television first went digital while I was visiting in Houston and unable to watch my Colombian Telenovelas (soap operas).  At $99.00 it was a steal and with my poor eyesight would have made a big difference in enjoying my Spurs games.

The other item was a Kodak Pixpro Long Zoom Digital Camera for $99.00 as I have wanted to replace my $35.00 Polaroid Digital Camera for years after my good camera got fried as it sat inside my tent in Terlingua.  I was successful in purchasing this item, as I suppose most people use their cell phones for picture taking these days.

My 2011 hot tent that fried my camera

It took me 24 minutes to place my order but I am sure I was competing against millions of online shoppers this evening.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

Spurs Corner

Tonight's game against the Memphis Grizzlies was a total sham...the referees did not call that last minute foul which was the same foul they had just finished calling against us. We got robbed!!!

  1. That Wal-Mart website is horribly slow, even during non sale times. Very old fashioned, non user friendly website. IMHO.

    1. I do not usually buy that much from them online but now that you mention it I do recall having a hard time trying to get it to accept my payment information before and I have one of their credit cards!

  2. Happy Thanksgiving Ms. Belinda!

A 40" tv for $99 would have been a real deal!

    1. Dave!! Long time no hearing from you!

To think that I did not notice that he also did not give him enough space to land until I heard it in the news today. They had their choice of two fouls to call and missed them both!

  4. I never even thought to look for black Friday deals on line. $99. for a 40" TV I bet that was a mistake so now there saying they are out of stock, but who knows. I need something so I guess I'll go looking around .
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

    1. I do not know if it was a mistake or not but I was very disappointed. Perhaps I can find something on special on Cyber Monday because there is no way I am going to the stores.

    1. I might of jinxed them as this was the first game this season that I watched from the start. I usually don't get to see the game until the third of fourth quarter.

I hope we have better luck with our upcoming road trip this time around.

  6. I forgot to mention I filled up last nite at a Murphy Express in Universal City for $1.939. Nice!

Keep watching and don't be a jinx.

    1. You need to go buy a lottery ticket! Paying $1.939 for a gallon of gasoline is a steal. I do not know what it is going for in Del Rio since I have not driven into town in a week. Whatever it might be, I am sure it is not as low as in San Antonio.

I will definitively keep watching but I can't promise I wont be a jinx :(

  7. I don't like shopping online at all, although I'm getting used to ordering groceries online. I really miss being able to get out to the stores lately - that's the best way to shop as far as I'm concerned. I am NEVER going to order anything from Amazon again. The last few times have been awful with merchandise that doesn't work, and delays in shipping, but the worst are the stories of how badly they treat their workers.

    1. While I like going to the stores I prefer the convenience of ordering online and not having to deal with holiday crowds.

You are so lucky to live in an area where you can order groceries and have them delivered to your home. While I can order them both at HEB and Walmart, I have to go pick them up which defeats the purpose at least for me.

  8. e this year, Black Friday will fall on 29th November 2019 but the retailer won’t take a chance to lure the shoppers. Prior to the Black Friday Sale, Walmart will host Walmart Black Friday 2019 Sale but the doorbuster deals won’t be available until Black Friday 2019.
