Had to drive into town to run several errands. As I passed by HEB, I was happy to see that gasoline was still $
3.31 a gallon. As I drove by the new Stripes...who usually has the cheapest price in town...noticed their price was $
3.39... a difference of
.08 cents.
Darn it all, my first reaction was to head back to HEB but I had to go run an important errand for my mother so filling up dad's old car would have to wait. As soon as I got through made a mad dash back to HEB and wouldn't you know it...they had raised their price as well!
How do these people know when the big three players in town decrease but mostly increase the price of gasoline? Do they hire people to drive up and down Veterans Boulevard? If so, I want that job! Stripes, Walmart and HEB...I am available :D
I turned to look at the Stripes across the street from HEB and they still had not raised their price. I pulled in and filled up. I am not lying, I was the second vehicle there and in a matter of seconds all these cars drove in! Is there an app for cheap gas prices in Del Rio? Does someone post something on Facebook? Heck, I wouldn't know as I do not own a smartphone or do Facebook. Just glad that for once I caught a break :-)
We have so many glass jars and glass containers that we decided to take them down to the recycling center. Could not help but notice the wooden pallets they had and that if you asked, they would probably give to you. I did not get to take a picture of it but when I drove through the back of Tractor and Trailer Supply they had a bunch of pallets sitting next to their dumpster. It seems a shame to let all those pallets go to waste.
Today was a very windy day with a high of 83 degrees.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
