A cold and rainy day in February

After the beautiful spring temperatures we have been experiencing lately, today winter returned.  It was a cold and rainy day with a high of only 64 and a low of 40.

It would be our luck that in such a miserable day we would have to go get the results of mother's CT Scan last week.  Today, there was a full house even though our appointment was late in the afternoon.

Been seeing a lot of these signs lately at different doctor's offices...sorry for the poor quality of the shot.

Another thing I have been noticing is more accessibility using "Patient Portals".  I like the idea of being able to leave a message for the doctor and to make appointments online.

Speaking of technology I noticed so many people playing with their cell phones.  There were these three kids I imagine waiting on their parent, the older one about 10 years old had a cell phone and his younger siblings about 3 and 5 years old...each had their own tablet!  Darn, felt like asking the little ones to show me how to use one...jajajajaja :D

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

    1. I found a loophole...used a regular camera not a cell phone :)

No pictures were taken of the staff only of my mother but I can't post her picture or I will never hear the end of it, as was the case with the photo I took of her at the beauty shop.

  2. When I had the computer business I always told the adults if they wanted to learn computing grab their kids or grand kids. They have no fear and will push buttons until they get it to work.

    1. That is true John, the problem is that we have no kids or grandchildren in our family. Just my mother and I.

  3. It sounds like we are having the same kind of weather way up here in Sacramento, CA! We need the rain so I will deal with the chill. I wonder what the long term effect of kids using cell phones, iPads, etc., will be. I don't think adults are immune from altering the hardwiring in their brains, either.

    1. I know I said rain but actually it was only .18 of an inch, but we will take it! Glad you guys are getting some precipitation as well.

I too wonder about the long term effects on kids of all these electrical gadgets.
