Guess my trip to Houston will once again have to be postponed due to weather issues. Make no mistake I am not looking forward to going either. Who knows what I will encounter when I get there.
With the holidays and company, I had not had a chance to catch up on my mail. Received some interesting correspondence from Life Line Screening for some low cost test that include:
- Stroke/Carotid Artery Screening
- Heart Rhythm Screening (Atrial Fibrillation)
- Chronic Kidney Disease Screening
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening
- Osteoporosis Risk Assessment
- Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening
They are going to be in town for just one day but you had to call to pre-register which I did but was told I had to pay in advance to get an appointment. I thanked him kindly and hung up. I don't like to pre-pay for anything and for all I know it could be a scam.
Which leads to my question...has anyone in the blogsphere heard of this company or been tested by this outfit?
Whether it snows or not it is cold out there. Bundle up and stay warm.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
Snow in Del Rio is wrong in so many ways. Keep warm.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is John :(
Deletei have read your blog for a long time but have never commented. Life Line is not scam. I am going in today for open heart surgery, the result of their screening in OCT. It was my 3 rd screening from them. Good luck, I will miss your blog for a while.

Thank you for commenting on your screening. I sincerely hope your open heart surgery goes well. Take care.
DeleteHello. This is Joelle Reizes, Communications Director for Life Line Screening. Thank you for your post and asking your question. I would like to assure you that we are a very legitimate company that has been around since 1993. We are also international, providing screenings in the UK, Ireland and Australia as well. We strive to provide affordable, convenient health screenings, and hope you will come and visit us. We do prefer advanced payment because it simplifies things on the day of the screening both for you and the screening team, but you do not have to pre-pay. You can pay on the day of the screening if you prefer. If you would like, I can have someone call you directly to help make your appointment. You may reach me at Joelle.Reizes@llsa.com. All the best, Joelle Reizes, Communications Director, Life Line Screening, (based in our headquarters in Cleveland, OH)
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to comment on my blog about your company.
DeleteWould have liked to have been told that I could pay the day of the screening but that option was not mentioned to me.
I appreciate you leaving me your e-mail address and again thank you.
I see from David's blog that they got a good snow fall in the Terlingua area. Take pictures if you get some.
ReplyDeleteJust like I thought...we got nothing! I am beginning to be skeptical of the weather forecasters much like Ben in Texas used to be :D
DeleteThe rain gage says 4 inches, but my tape measure says 3. Unfortunately most of the mountains are hidden behind fog so taking pictures of them are out now..
ReplyDeleteWhether 3 or 4 inches that is quite a lot in my book. Bet it looks beautiful out in my favorite desert :)
DeleteEnjoy but bundle up!
Friday afternoon and no snow in north Del Rio. Pretty nice out if you can bundle up a bit.
ReplyDeleteYeap, no snow here in South Val Verde County either :(
DeleteThe light covering of snow looks beautiful. It snowed here in Terlingua at the "Y". It snowed about 1 1/2 to 1". That's about how I like it. It melted that day.
ReplyDeleteDid you take any pictures? If it is going to snow, I like for it to be gone by that same day after the photo opts of course :D
