A sunny 76 degree day

We had an absolutely gorgeous day.  It got to 76 degrees (24 Celsius) but it felt hotter working in the sun.  Yes, you read right...I worked!  Got the Hula Hoe out and went about zapping weeds while Ralph supervised me.

The darn mosquitoes would not leave me alone.  I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt but knew if I came inside to change...chances were good I would not go back outside...so I worked through the discomfort of their bites.

Even washed some fine washables.  For a moment considered going to the laundromat but quickly let that thought vanish...maybe Wednesday?  Where is my tall weathered cowboy that enjoys working on the yard and washing clothes?

It would have been a fabulous day, had it not been that my Spurs second string lost to Portland tonight 108 to 95.  Oh well, it was a back to back game and we did win last night against Denver.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. I haven't seen a 76 degree day for a while. I know what you mean about those darn cowboys; where are they hiding?

  2. I like that green canvas tent/house/shelter or whatever it is. Maybe it is a dining hall, since it has all those windows.

    1. The owners of that huge tent have been going there for a while. There are pictures in past years posts on this blog..

This year I met one of the guys that comprise that camp. He is a friend of one of my friends in the guys camp. I asked him how long it took them to set it up and he said depending on how many hands they had helping. This year three people set it up and it took them about 35 to 45 minutes.

  3. I'm pretty sure your TWC got lost somewhere! But he was probably on the way with good intentions.

Mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys........

    1. Lol, Sb :D

The other night I was listening to the Denver game on Spurs Radio and was confused because every time we scored I heard people cheer. How can that be, did I hear wrong and the game was actually in San Antonio?

Later learned that the Spurs had a huge fan base in Colorado.

      GSG!!

    2. Yes, I HAVE noticed that the past couple of years. There used to be a lot of Rockets jersey-wearers in the Alamodome when they were winning and more lately Lakers and Heat "t-shirt" fans. Not so much since LBJ left and the Lakers SUCK!!! Pinche Lakers!

Have a great day, Ss and GSG!!!!
