My sincere congratulations to the Toronto Raptors for winning the 2019 NBA Championship!
I think I might have even forgiven...well, at least "momentarily"... Kawhi Leonard. So Kawhi congratulations to you as well for being named the 2019 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player.
I take my hat off to those Golden State Warrior fans that stuck around to witness the presentation of the trophy and did so with class.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
Yeah Toronto NBA champs, I was raised in Toronto back in to 50's and 60's now hang out in the quiet country 1 hour west. The parties and celebration are all over the news this morning.
ReplyDeleteI am sure Canadians are very proud of their team after having won their first NBA title. I am sure there were quite a few people that called in sick today after all the parties and celebrations that took place last night.
DeleteA hearty congrats to the North. Not sure if I am more happy for their winning or GSW losing but Kawhi definitely was the MVP and I think got some revenge for the Zaza takedown 2 years ago. I'm thinking he's doing a one and done in Canada. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteFound an opening at the Murphy yesterday and filled up for $1.969 / gas. As exciting as that was my discount only saved me an extra 83 cents. Big wow. But did save me over $4 from competing stations around.
"Not sure if I am more happy for their winning or GSW losing"
DeleteWhen they won I thought the same thing. I figured you were over joyed because there is no doubt in my mind that in your case it was because "GSW lost".
Yeap, Kawhi got his revenge too bad Zaza no longer forms part of this team.
Wow $1.969...excellent! Since I am a "centavera" I value every penny saved.
DeleteWhen I drove into town Wednesday I failed to notice what gasoline was selling for. With the Oman attack of those two tankers on Thursday, I am sure the prices have or will soon be going up.
KSAT12 went out to interview people today and to get their opinion of Kawhi after his win. All the ones they put on the air were happy for him and Danny.
ReplyDeleteSteve Spriester the news anchor said he was "conflicted" (actually if you are a regular viewer you know how he really feels). Kaiti Blake the weather person said that was not the case on Twitter.
Larry Ramirez the sports anchor said he was suprised the reporter found so many forgiving Spurs fans but in social media it was another story. Too bad I have no idea how to access these messages I am sure it would make for some interesting reading.
Thank you - I will go to their website and check it out.
DeleteDanny would have been a dawg with that bad pass if they wouldn't have won! Forget the great block that Klay ended up getting hurt on (no fault on Danny).
I died laughing on the last or next to the last play when Jeff Van Gundy said (I am paraphrasing) "the ball needs to be in the hands of anyone BUT Green"...jajajajajaja!
DeletePinche Lakers
DeleteWell, we knew that Anthony Davis wanted to be traded to them and they wanted him as well.
DeleteWe got rid of GSW and now we have the Lakers to deal with!
They aren't winning any titles. No bench. LeBum getting old and decrepit. If Clippers get Kawaii then they will be the team to beat in LaLa Land. And both will have to get through OUR SPURS!!!!!!😈
DeleteDon't hold back...tell me how you really feel :)
