Pinterest / Decluttering

Got up at 8:00 a.m. and started my morning chores.  I have been trying to read pins on Pinterest but that site is so confusing, seems like they send you pins upon pins of the same thing.  I even pinned a guide on how to navigate around their webpage and I am still confused.

I finally got tired of carrying my dirty linens in the car in case there are a few people at the laundromat but with all the rain it is going to be a while so unloaded them.

One of the reasons I wanted to read my Pins is because I am trying to declutter my closet as well as my room.  I did clean out the closet but ended up with a bunch of clothes I need to donate on our next trip to San Antonio provided I can get off the freeway and it is not rush hour.

Have wanted to go into town but by the time I finish my chores, it is either too late or too hot.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. The only time I end up at Pinterest is when I'm doing a search & that takes me there. I don't really understand it either, I look at the pictures that have to do with what I'm interested in then go somewhere else.
I guess I should invest some time in getting to know what it's all about.. maybe I'll put it on a list! :-)
Have a good Wednesday Ms Belinda!

    1. I am so glad I am not the only one that does not understand Pinterest.

I got fed up and decided to just go to YouTube where they have actual videos showing the viewer how to do or accomplish your goal.

Hope you had a great Wednesday as well Rob!

  2. I follow Rob's example because I just have too many other things to do.
Hoping the Heat doesn't get too bad for you.
Be Safe and Enjoy the decluttered spaces.

    It's about time.

    1. I agree, it takes me like 20 minutes just to read one e-mail and if I then decide to click on a topic I like...another page pops up...with duplicate things of the first page...and more wasted time!

Today it was a doozy, extremely hot and humid :-(

  3. One of my sisters is always talking about Pinterest, but I have no interest! I just counted about 30 t-shirts that I've gathered from national & state parks in my 8 or so years of travel across the country and back. I stacked up about 20 of them that I will donate to Salvation Army when I can get someone to drive me there. I've loved those shirts and each one has a memory, but it's time to let go. Fortunately there are a lot of places I can donate them, but I won't give anything to Goodwill as the money they make goes to Goodwill and not to the needy. That's the story I've heard, anyway.

Lol, that made me smile Gypsy! You are a wise woman...it is not worth the time or effort.

I stopped buying Terlingua Chili Cook-off T-shirts a couple of years back but the ones from previous years as well as my Spurs Championship ones...that is just something I can NOT give away :-(

While in Del Rio there are no donation centers like Goodwill or The Salvation Army, when we lived in Austin, Texas...Goodwill Industries, used the money they derived from the sale of donated items to hire and train handicap individuals.

  4. I love this sentence you wrote: "I did clean out the closet but ended up with a bunch of clothes I need to donate on our next trip to San Antonio provided I can get off the freeway and it is not rush hour." Life in a nutshell. Or at least as I have experienced it....

  5. My daughters are alway talking about how fun pin is so I let one of them download to my phone and then I did it myself on my laptop. I can't figure it out either and it seems like the same junk pops up all the time. Can't find a recipe as all this other junk pops up over them. Tomorrow I delete it off both.

    1. I just do not understand why they keep on sending the same stuff over and over again. I know I suffer from CRS but they are ridiculous repeating Pins...grrrrrrrrrr!!!

  6. Pinterest helped me greatly with a landscape project - gave me ideas I would never have come up with myself. However, now that the project is completed, I still get daily emails. I have tried to "unsubscribe" but that was useless. I appreciate the help they gave me but now they are just annoying.

    1. There is no denying that they have unique and creative ideas to share with their subscribers. I specially like the ideas put forth for "she sheds".

However, I do not care to know that someone pinned my pin to their board nor do I have time to spend 20 to 30 minutes just reading ONE e-mail.
