Too many weather events

I do not recall so many weather events taking place in one year. I went back and read some of my prior year's posts but not being a daily blogger I either did not document them or they were few and far between.

We are currently under a severe thunderstorm watch. It has been miserably hot today at 3:37 p.m. it was 101 with a heat index of 110 degrees per The Weather Channel. Though there is relief on the way as a cold front system is moving in that will bring temperatures down to the high 70's and mid-'80s on Monday and Tuesday, while also bringing even more rain to this normally desert area.

Yesterday was also miserably hot so I left the weed eater, extension cord and other gardening tools outside. Waited until late this afternoon to put them away. I had forgotten that I had opened the windows in dad's old car, it was a good thing I noticed it or I would have had a big clean up event on my hands.  It is hell to have CRS... :-(

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. Hot & then cooler... I'm thinking that's not the norm for June in you're part of Texas.
    Hang in there!

    1. It certainly is not the norm Rob.

P.S. I still can not forgive you for the link to that succulent steak :-(

    2. When you buy it, make sure it's a thick steak and don't forget the real butter!

    3. I am not what you would call "a cook" I will have to go to a steak hourse or a restaurant.

    4. Here you go... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Marsh-Allan-30002-Steel-Hibachi-Charcoal-Grill-Black/21016070 $15 gets you a grill that will work, a small bag of charcoal, the steak and some butter. The youtube video shows you how.

  2. This crazy weather started last summer, super hot, then a really cold winter and snow, this spring beautiful cool temps. It has reached 100 but it really didn't feel that bad of course to jump in the truck after going in for lunch and then to a store. Who knows what's next but I really believe it is global warming.

    1. I also believe in global warming JO.

I only wish our current administration would recognize that fact which is obvious to absolutely everyone except them.

    2. About 1250 to 1300 the Little Ice Age started and it got cold. It broke about 1870 and we are not back (temp wise)to where it was before it started... That's a fact if anyone cares to look.

The other fact is the Earth has cycles. 100,000 to 250,000 years of ice followed by 10,000 years of interglacial good weather time. The last big ice age ended around 10,000 years ago. This cycle is millions of years old and the last I saw they were not sure what causes it.
You can look this one up too if you are interested.

    3. Yes, there are weather cycles and they have been around for millions of years there is no denying that.

What we are experiencing is different and mankind has had a lot to do with it. I have already lived a full life...I am worried about the future generations and what we are leaving them if we keep ignoring that Global Warming is for real.

I am NOT and do not pretend to be knowledgeable on this topic but I listen to those that are. Sadly, in my opinion this is becoming political.

    4. It is political, when someone said "the science is settled" it was political.
Politics gets settled, science get proven.

  3. I totally agree with you on the CRS thing. I never thought I would get this bad!

    1. CRS is mostly associated with older individuals but I started experiencing it in my 30's so I am pretty sure I am going to end up in the nut house or if I am lucky a regular nursing home...though those things are horrible as well.

I recently received an e-mail from a reader in Germany thanking me for addressing CRS in my blog. It really made me feel good to know that there are others out there experiencing the same thing.

  4. This weird weather everywhere for sure. LOL CRS is something that seems to hang around with us, sometimes worse than others. I have to take pictures and make notes to remember things.

    1. I send myself emails, delayed emails & use 3x5 cards for when I go out running errands. I buy the cards in a pack of 300.

    2. I have to take pictures too in particular to remind myself to buy the boys food.

I make notes and also send myself emails...sometimes it works out sometimes it does not.

  5. GSW wins next one tambien. Game 7 will be great! Raptors rallied and had this one and blew it. I give them the championship Sunday night. Probecito KD. Lo siento.

    Next year: LOS SPURS!

    1. I agree with you on Game 6 but I am not certain on the outcome of Game 7.

I can not believe the Raptors blew the game this evening...if only Kawhi had made his free shots and Danny Green had made just ONE 3-pointer.
