It was a perfect day / Mystery solved

Went to bring the car from the garage to the driveway so I could clean my trunk and then load it up with the usual items I carry including my boxes.  It was a bit cool so I had my turtleneck on but as I kept working it got warm so I came inside to swap it for a t-shirt. When I was doing that believe it or not the power went out...again!!!

Looked in my glove compartment and found the missing 2021 license tags in the same place I left them.  Started to peel the old sticker and it came back to me why I had not installed it. The darn thing was hard to remove just like the previous year had been and I still had goop stuck to the windshield. I was going to buy a windshield sticker scrapper at the Dollar Tree but I obviously forgot about it. My car is road legal once more.

Came inside to eat my breakfast and at 9:11 a.m. the power came back on.  It was out for 43 minutes.

A friend called to see if I had received the pictures she had sent me yesterday, told her I had not.  I do not know why they send things to my cellphone when they know I never have it on and with my poor eyesight, I can't see anything even if I try to enlarge it. Please people just e-mail it to me!

Tried to find the phone without success even called it after having to look up my own telephone number ...what can I say...😄...have I mentioned how much I hate cellphones? Though I know they are a necessary evil.

Today turned out to be a perfect day. We had a low of 65 and a high of 76 degrees.

I am going to try to get a good night's rest as tomorrow I plan to be glued to the television set like most Americans. Although I should really say the whole world will have their eyes on this election. Stay positive!

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. I love the signs! You and I are exactly alike when it comes to cellphones. I can't do anything on mine except answering a call, and sometimes I can make a call. I hate it, and would even go back to an old wall rotary phone if I could.

    1. The signs made me laugh and hopeful for a new beginning.

Gypsy, you have me beat. I can't even answer the darn phone. I have to call the person back, lol!

  2. Sounds like it might be time for a Newer but Simple Phone. You might Consider a TracFone. You purchase Time and as long as you renew it before the One Year time whatever Time you did not use will carry over. They have all kinds of options.
    Like your signs.
    If only I could Vote.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. I do have a TracFone, it was my first phone that was recommended to me by Bigfoot some years ago. I keep on renewing it because I have so many minutes that I have been carrying over throughout the years.

No matter which way the pendulum swings in this election, I am heartened by the fact that nearly 100 million of my fellow Americans turned out to vote in droves during early voting.

  3. Love the signs gave me a chuckle.
I to hate cell phones but that is all I use. I can't see much on them either and hate when someone sends me anything on it. And everyone is text happy I swear.

I will not spend any time on TV tomorrow. I probably will know who won more or less when I get on my laptop.

    1. Happy that you enjoyed the signs as much as I did :-)

I agree people are very text happy these days and my poor arthritic fingers are just not up to it.

I could be wrong but I do not feel that we will know even by tomorrow who the winner might be.

    2. I think it will take a couple of days for all the mail in to be counted. Cry baby is already filing law suites to try and stop the counts. He thinks because he won those states last time he shouldn't have lost them this time. Orange Turd they know now what you really are get over it they don't like you anymore

    3. Right now your state of Arizona has the nation's and world's eyes upon it. They are waiting for the result of Maricopa County which is largely Mexican-American and will NEVER forgive him for pardoning Joe Arpaio.

Hopefully, he will go down tonight or tomorrow but make no mistake...he is going to lose!

  4. Love all your signs. We all need a laugh.
Daines and Gianforte won here in Montana. No good will come from that. If Steve Bullock had won the senate race, it would have flipped the senate and put a good man in place.
I still have fingers crossed that Biden and Harris have won. What a nail biter!
At least we can have some small satisfaction that tRump knows he is losing and can now begin some real sleepless nights. Once the rest of the politicians have realized he is losing, they will jump ship faster and faster. Who will pay his legal fees? Lawyers don't work on credit.
Speaking of lawyers, still no Barr news that I can find. Have you seen or heard any from tv? Maybe he foresaw which way the cat was going to jump and cut his own deal?
    Stay safe my friend.

    1. Stayed up till 4:00 a.m. Biden gave such a good speech last night to calm the nation he was so Presidential.

Donald of course had to give another one at 1:21 a.m. CST and he looked pathetic and pitiful. In a rage saying the vote counting had to stop! Hello, YOU don't decide that nor do you have the authority to stop it. Then he claims he won? What a difference between these two men!

I heard that the GOP had hired over 500 lawyers all over the United States and I had the same question...who is paying for these lawyers? Not Donald, he never pays for anything. Is it the GOP or is it "we the people"?

Have not heard a thing about Barr on the Internet or cable TV. BTW you can watch CNN for free on your computer while the presidential count is going on if you go to cnn.com

      Be well Ms. Penny.

  6. Well, here it is Thursday, and we know more than we did, and it's still looking pretty good. I haven't let my breath out in a relief sigh yet though.
I am with you on the tiny cell phone problem. Cant's see stuff, and forget texting. However, I have been liberated by figuring out how to text on my computer. HAHA. I can now type on a big keyboard and see what somebody's said on a big screen.
I am however, ahead of you....I'm finally able to answer the little tiny phone itself when someone calls. And I get Siri to dial for me. Only problem is I am not sure how to hang up once I'm through with a call. Still not sure what button to push. So far, no one's complained. Maybe it hangs up by itself. Who knows.

    1. I watched TV all day yesterday and did not go to bed until 4:00 a.m. this morning (Friday 11-06-20). I am optimistic but cautious.

Hopefully this evening we will have more results. Every vote should be counted no matter how long it takes even if my stress levels may kill me.

I used to be able to text from my computer when both my uncle and I had WhatsApp on our phones but we have both since removed it.

  7. Scuttlebutt going around the web is that Ivanka's voting machines flipped a lot of den votes to tRump, thus making it appear more people voted for tRump. Mail in votes show more folks voted for Biden. So if mail in had been halted, only the Ivanka voting machines would be counted, thus throwing the election. Dejoy being key to this.
Makes a lot of sense to me and explains why polls show a big gap.
So tRump is screaming the rigged vote isn't going as planned because of mail in and provisional votes. Jajaja He can't even cheat to win. And I feel better knowing his minions are not as numerous as we have been told.
You can Google Ivanka's voting machines to read Pollitico's article on the glitches and extra uploads the night before the election in GEORGIA!
    And the plot thickens...

    1. Googled Ivanka's voting machines but did not get the Politico's article but another questioning the same thing.

This has been the happiest day in my life in the past four years and I want to savor this moment.

The deplorable's will soon see their defeat in the courts.
