Joseph R. Biden Jr. Elected 46th President of the United States of America

I can not tell you how happy I am!  I have been waiting for this moment like most Americans since Election night Nov 3rd.

Our President-Elect message to our nation...

Our Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris...

To be fair I also tuned in to Fox News and was surprised by their civility. An e-mail had been leaked to the press instructing their news personalities and hosts to NOT refer to Vice President-Joe Biden as President-Elect Joe Biden. Obviously, I am NOT a Fox viewer but today they at least acknowledged the fact that Joe Biden was elected as our 46th President.

To their credit, they also showed multiple shots of jubilation in different cities of our nation.

I am going to take a deep breath, relax, and celebrate this most joyous occasion.  May you all be able to do the same.

I am so proud to be an American!

  1. Congratulations!! I am so happy! As soon as I heard the great news, I thought of you. I wish I had champagne but some Bailey's and egg nog is pretty darn tasty.
Daines is on the radio trying to get people to give five dollars to help tRump pay his legal fees. Can you believe it?
My neighbor said she got caught up in a small tRump train of vehicles yesterday and had a hard time getting free of them. I went to town earlier and didn't see one vehicle with the dumb flags and stuff.
I sure hope Steve Bullock will have a seat in Biden's cabinet.
Drink and be merry my friend! It is still a democracy!

    1. I was so proud of CNN being the first news network to finally confirm what we all knew was an inevitable truth.

I was so happy tears ran down my eyes and all I could think was that our democracy was still alive and well. As a Mexican-American, it is a completely different feel than perhaps with the exception of Black-Americans, Native-Americans, or other minorities who have been subjected to different life experiences than White America.

Daines will probably get deplorables to donate to the now-fired current occupant of the WH but it will be for not.

I hope Steve Bullock gets a seat in Biden's cabinet as well. I will have an adult drink after President-Elect Biden gives his speech tonight.

      God Bless America!

  2. Yes, even Fox News appears to have become reality based...don't know about their talk show guys - Sean and Tucker - but from what I can tell, the news dept has reported events in a fair manner. It's been a long week....not to mention 4 years. Well, CHEERS!

    1. I share your sentiments. Cheers to you and the rest of our American citizens who voted their conscious and ousted a diabolic evil individual.

  4. This has worked out perfectly. Of couse that orange turd still has 2 months to do more harm. Lets hope for the best until he is ousted. Someone said he was out playing golf this morning, shows his true ignorance that he still thought he was winning. I watched our new President tonight I was so proud to once again call America Great!

    1. His remaining term as a lame-duck president is very disturbing not just to you and me but to most of America. He could do some real damage to our democracy. I just hope that those in power and by that I mean Moscow Mitch and Lindsey Graham grow a spine now that their sorry ass has been re-elected and put a stop to his madness.

I remember how much he disparaged Obama for playing golf and saying he would never do that...he would be working in the White House for the nation...yeah, right...we all know how that turned out!

I too watched our new President and Vice-President Elect this evening. Once again I recalled how proud I used to be of our former leaders and how great it feels to have hope for our nation's future.

  5. Ms. B., I share your joy and that of Americans who voted to return our country to sanity and civility. I also appreciate your comments on my blog, and apologize for the nastiness of another commenter. I have tried every way I could think of to remove her permanently, but Blogger makes it almost impossible to do. I also wish commenters who don't like political comments on a blog would just not finish reading them. It's so easy to click to leave a page that you don't agree with or aren't interested in. If I start to read a comment that I can see might infuriate me, I just quit reading it. Duh! I would quit publishing altogether, except for the fact that I like keeping in touch with old friends such as yourself, Jo, and a few others. Here is to the next four years, and for people realizing it you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

    1. Gypsy, you do not have to apologize for that uninformed reader as it is not your fault and I have very thick skin. You are a classy lady that I am proud to call my friend.

Here is to the next four years and the return to civility to the highest office in the world!

  6. When you are sitting in the dark, with no heat, and no gas to put in your car to go to the store to try to find some food, remember the words of your hero “elections have consequences”. Remember this when our youth are sent to fight again in useless wars they are not allowed to win. When medical care is rationed, when you or your family members cannot find a job. Remember this was what you voted for. I am just sorry so many innocent people will suffer for your foolish dreams.
