First real cold front arrived

Yesterday afternoon I spent putting away anything that might serve as projectiles since we were expecting strong winds overnight. The cold front was supposed to arrive at 8:00 a.m. or thereabouts. It arrived at 6:36 a.m. with a very light shower.

It felt wonderful to feel the cool crisp air on my face. We are finally going to have an autumn-like weekend. Today we had a high of 62 and a low of 56.  That is a 36-degree difference in temperature from yesterday.

    So glad you finally got some cool weather. I do hope it is pleasant and not miserable. Cold weather in South Texas feels very different than it does here. Maybe because we have the appropriate clothing. When I first came north, I only had a jeans jacket. A far cry from my battery powered heated down coat with heated gloves.
    Your saying of the day is so funny. In my younger days, I could not bear staying home. Now it is a joy to not have to go anywhere for days at a time.

      It was pleasant and in the sun rather warm. You just reminded me of Anderson Cooper when he was hosting CNN's New Year's Eve from New York. He mentioned he had bought himself some battery-powered clothing. That was the first time I ever heard such clothing existed.

      Somehow it was not keeping him warm so even though he seldom drinks he had some Tequila shots which helped him warm up.

      I can identify when I was younger I too could not stay home unless I was truly sick and even then I would go out. Now like you, I prefer to stay home for days on end.

      I chuckled when I saw Aunty Acid's saying since my back has been hurting a lot lately and it just seemed appropriate for the occasion.

    Glad you are finally getting the cooler weather.
    That saying is holding true for me at the present time.

      We were supposed to stay in the 50's today but they were wrong. We had a high of 71 a low of 56 with a heat index of 73 degrees.

      I hope your back gets to feeling better. Having a bad one myself I can empathize.

    So Happy for You hope it lasts now, I'm sure it will warm up but not more the the 70's or 80's

      Oh, JO...they got it wrong again! Next week we will be back to the '80s and 90's :-(

      Yep here to but I'm going camping anyway. Just 2 nights to see how it goes. Have a feeling it may be to hot
