We have our sixth confirmed Covis-19 case, the person was identified as a male who traveled to the inner part of the nation and brought it home. He has been transferred to San Antonio, Texas for treatment.
Murders are not very common in this sleepy border town but unfortunately, we recorded our first murder of the year. It was a man in his 30's the two suspects are thankfully in jail now.
We had another very warm day that kept me indoors. We had a low of 71 a high of 95 with a heat index of 101 degrees. We have strong thunderstorms in the forecast for tomorrow that will bring with it lower temperatures.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
Aunty Acid Saying of the Day
Why people just can't get along always amazes me.
ReplyDeleteAunty Acid is right on today.
Be Safe and Enjoy what you can.
It's about time.
Aunty Acid is a wise woman!
DeleteInteresting times when the whole of the world is looking for "normal" again and deep down we're not sure what that will look like now.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful morning here in my part of western Washington, the rising sunshine had that pink tinge on the snow covered peaks in the Olympic mountains, the water in Hood Canal is almost calm and the rhododendrons across the street and showing lots of (mostly) pink flowers, but there are some red & white ones too.
DeleteThere are 16 (proven) cases of the virus in the county, it's supposed to get to almost 70 today and life goes on.
A wise reflection on your part Rob...I don't think any of us knows what that new normal will be either collectively or individually...at least I don't.
DeleteSounds like you are in an ideal location to weather this storm.
We have a very low crime rate here, too, but all it takes is one bad actor. A woman murdered her boyfriend a few weeks ago and then tried to hide his body behind her washing machine. I am thinking drugs and alcohol may have been involved? Lol
ReplyDeleteWe know Covid 19 is here but it is not being advertised or reported truthfully. No testing, no numbers. The Board of Regents meeting is not discussed. I think we are all being lied to on a grand scale in order to kill as many old people as possible in order to pay fewer ss benefits as possible and also to thin the ranks at nursing homes. The rest are just collateral damage.
I am always in charge of what risks I take and just avoid being around anyone right now. I believe the virus will subside in about a month or two and then people will realize the economy is the real problem. These checks will only help for a month or two and then the real horror of hyperinflation will be known. A loaf of bread will cost fifty dollars.
The weather is glorious today and the sun is out. Stay safe, my friend
Hiding his body behind her washing machine? Definitively high on drugs or alcohol. Actually, this would have been our second murder but a local couple or at least the wife of a Border Patrol Agent in the Del Rio sector waited until they went to San Antonio, Texas and shot him in their hotel...she claims he was cheating on her.
DeleteCovid-19 is prevalent everywhere but without adequate testings despite the administration's claims that "anyone that wants a test can have one" we do not know what the real numbers are and that is the way they want it to be.
You are more optimistic than I am, I think this thing will go on far longer though I can't venture a guess how much longer. I don't worry so much about hyperinflation as I do about widespread vandalism and high crime indexes.
Glad you are having good weather. Stay safe as well MsPenny.
As if things are sad enough we have people killing each other. Here to.
ReplyDeleteWe had a more pleasant day today and tomorrow the same in the mid 70's just the way I like it. And the wind finally died down
Stay safe
You are having ideal weather JO. We will cool down for one day...tomorrow, then back to our hot temperatures...:-(
