For a while, I thought it was just a problem with Blogger and that it only affected the pictures I borrowed from El Zócalo and Del Rio News-Herald though I did give them credit for them. Then my own pictures started disappearing from my blog. Has anyone else had this problem?
I have been having a heck of a time going to sleep. I believe I might have slept 7 or 8 hours in the past three days. To be clear I am NOT asking for remedies or suggestions to my problem just documenting this on my blog which doubles as my Cyber Journal.
We have been having hellish temperatures lately. Monday, April 20th we had a high of 97 with a heat index of 101. Yesterday, April 21st we had a high of 98, and today we had a high of 96 with a heat index of 100 degrees.
The laundromats are closed though I consider them to be an essential business. I can understand that it would be difficult to limit the number of people inside of them at any given time. Fortunately, we had a lot of wind today which helped dry my hand-washed laundry faster. Though a darn dove or crow did poop on one of my tank tops. Hate those effing birds that is why I do not mind when the boys have them for dessert!
I hope everyone is doing well. Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.
Aunty Acid Saying of the Day
Since I download all my pictures to my Computer before uploading them to the Blog the only problems I ever had was when the WiFi connection wasn't strong enough.
ReplyDeleteMany times our (Your) sleep can be affected by what we eat, drink or do during a day. Avoid Caffeine or eating later in the day. Even though exercising is good for you doing it late in the evening will keep you awake. Just things I've learned the hard way.
Be Safe and Enjoy the warmth.
It's about time.
I too download the pictures to my computer and then upload them to my blog. I have never had a problem since I have been using Spectrum.
DeleteWhen I first began my blog I had dial-up and later very slow internet speeds so I uploaded my pictures to Photobucket from the library.
Photobucket now wants $299.00 monthly to co-host them and that is not going to happen so many of my pics are blurred from the early days.
No laundromats? Who ever heard of such a thing!!! We have been far luckier that I imagined!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we take things for granted until we no longer have them even if it is only a laundromat.
DeleteI have noticed several bloggers I follow saying their photos are disappearing for no reason. You aren't alone.
ReplyDeleteI am still trying to work up the courage to hit the laundromat here. I am thinking early on Sunday in order to avoid people. Stealth laundry! I am sorry yours are closed. Some items are hard to hand launder.
Wow you have had some hot temps! We have had some warmer temps here but today has been overcast and windy. We could use some rain, for sure.
I do hope you will be sleeping better soon. Stay safe, my friend.
While I am not glad that it is happening to other bloggers at least that means it is not something I did on my part. It must be a Blogger problem hope they fix it soon.
DeleteSunday morning sounds an ideal time to make your stealth laundry run. Texas is starting to open up businessess perhaps laundromats will make the list. Though I am not sure I am ready to leave the house yet.
I agree some things are hard to hand launder the good thing is blankets and winter items can wait.
We need rain as well but at least I have plenty of liquid gold in my rain catchment to water the trees and plants who are in need of a drink with these temperatures.
Stay safe as well Ms. Penny!
Seen where hot temperatures, high humidity, and sunshine are detrimental to the corona virus in saliva droplets on surfaces and in the air. So hot weather is a plus!!!.
ReplyDeleteThe news sources I trust have made no reference to hot temperatures having an impact on this virus. If anything they stress that we know very little about the way Covid-19 behaves.
DeleteI cannot believe they closed the laundromat that is nuts. Things need to be cleaned to stop the virus!. Some government official have not business being in charge of themselves let alone town and cities.
ReplyDeleteWe are well into the 90's and will hit 101 by Sunday. Sure happy my cooler is working so well.
Yep, they are closed but I can understand why. I bet most government officials have washer and dryers at home and do not realize that there are many people in our community that do not and rely on laundromats to wash and dry our clothes. Of the few things I miss from my Houston house it is my washer and dryer.
DeleteWe are supposed to hit 101 degrees tomorrow...well today since it is already 2:03 a.m. Glad your new cooler is working well.
Just so you know, my pictures have been magically disappearing as well. Frustrating!
ReplyDeleteVery frustrating and worst that I do not know if they will magically return or are gone forever. Thanks for letting me know Dave.
DeleteThe only thing of mine that keeps disappearing is my money, mostly.
ReplyDeleteLol, set yourself up a good budget and stick to it and soon you will have some nice change in your piggy bank.
DeleteYour pictures that are disappearing could be weather related.
ReplyDeleteEvery time that I open a Shiner Bock, it seems to evaporate very quickly.
I’m trying to work a solution for this problem.
When you find a solution to the problem let me know preferably before the next Chili Cook-off...if there is one :-(
