Hope to one day make my Terlingua Dreams a reality and purchase my little piece of heaven in the remote West Texas region of the Chihuahuan desert.

Tied an all time record high for Del Rio
Texas was sizzling today and we managed to tie the all-time high since Del Rio began keeping records in 1905. We reached a high of 112 degrees.
Tomorrow it will be equally hot in the Lone Star State. Crossing my fingers the power grid holds up.
Good night. May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

Hoping the Grid holds out for you as well.
ReplyDeleteLike yourself it is strange how places further south are staying cooler.
Be Safe and Enjoy staying cool.
It's about time.
I am glad to read you, I was worried when I did not see a post from you guys last night nor have I seen one tonight either. I hope you all are just taking a break.
DeleteI hope you can hold out - this awful hot weather can't last forever, can it?
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting the three-digit temperatures to continue for the next two weeks.
DeleteI am not complaining though it could be worst...there are people in Del Rio that do not even have an air conditioner...using only fans to stay cool.
I can't imagine dealing with that heat. I hope you will soon have some relief.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is weird everywhere. We only got up to 75* here. Which is great, but makes me think winter is going to be really cold again. Must be a happy medium somewhere.
Stay safe, my friend.
IMHO, the guy who invented air conditioning should have been awarded the Nobel prize.
DeleteThere is a happy medium somewhere...Uruguay!
You beat us yesterday and maybe today to. We topped out at 109. Hang in there and lets hope our electric can keep up with the demand
ReplyDeleteMy grandson moved to Houston yesterday (Monday) to learn how to install windows he should be there for about 4 - 6 months. Unless he likes it that may be his new home.
Depending on what weather source you use our high today ranged from 109, 110 to 112. As long as we have electricity to power the A/C I will be fine.
DeleteHouston has a certain lure in particular for young people like your grandson. While this may not be the best of times to be there back in non-COVID times there was so much to do.
I literally could go out every day of the week and there was always an event, concert, professional team sports, and on the weekend there were the beaches in Galveston.
It also has affordable housing and in the past a lot of jobs. Lol, I sound as though I was working for the Houston Chamber of Commerce :D
