Took the day off...

I can not believe that tomorrow is Wednesday once again trash day...where has the week gone?  It is much too hot outside to even attempt to rake more leaves. As I have mentioned before the heat this summer has done a number on the trees. Even watering them in the morning and late afternoon has made no difference in their leave shedding.

I was so tired today I decided to take a day off and just watch TV.  I do not know if that was good or bad let's just say...thank you CNN and Telemundo for cutting away from that so-called "press conference".

It was hot but I have no idea what the actual high temperature for today was.  Per KENS-5...it was 109 degrees.

Per KSAT-12 it reached a high of 110 degrees.

If you were to believe Accuweather it got to 112 degrees.

It really does not matter it was HOT today.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

    1. Mother nature always has the last word and she has decided that she wants to see three-digit temperatures for at least the next three weeks in the region.

I am definitively enjoying the A/C.

  3. I hope you are able to stay cool. Just sounds so miserable.
I watched a bit of tRump's sideshow yesterday via some YouTube. He is really losing it and you can see the fear on his face. It is still a long way to the election and I am betting he doesn't make it that far. And Ivanka holding the Goya beans. Jajaja You know she has never eaten any Goya beans, not to mention that is illegal for her to do. I am not buying any Goya ever again.
It has been nice weather here. I did some fast shopping yesterday. Lockdown is coming here. Our govenor, Steve Bullock, put out a mask mandate today. The numbers are going straight up.
    Love Aunty Acid.

    1. Kudos to you for willingly watching it on YouTube. I was watching a show on Telemundo when it got pre-empted. I do not like live translations since I find they leave a lot to be desired. As off the rails, as he was going, I turned to CNN to hear it in English.

All I could think was of Mary Trump's book with regards to his odd behavior and how angry he was after Joe Biden's earlier speech which seemed to have gotten under his skin. I could not bring myself to watch this clown show and was about to turn it off when CNN cut away from it. They were not going to be part of this disgrace...they said they would monitor it and bring the highlights later.

I turned back to Telemundo and they had cut away from it as well so I went back to watching the original show I had originally tuned in to.

The late-night shows had a field day with Ivanka and her can of Goya beans saying pretty much what you said...the woman has never eaten a can of Goya beans in her life. Not to mention she broke the law by doing so but so did Kellyanne Conway when she promoted Ivanka's clothing line after it was dropped by I believe Macy's at the beginning of this administration and she was never held accountable for it.

Is this the first time your state goes under lockdown? Glad you are having nice weather...enjoy it!

  4. Yup. Looks like hot and dry ahead here too for the coming days. We had the lovely addition of wildfires south of here....wind coming from where you are. They're better today, and I can't imagine those volunteer firefighters out there in 108 degree weather, but they did it. So far so good with the grid. So we can stay cool.

    1. I had not heard of wildfires in Texas until your comment. With so much going on in the news a lot of happenings in our state are sidelined.

Are they currently under control or have they been extinguished? Thank goodness for volunteer firefighters and their selflessness for putting themselves on the line to protect the citizenry.

    2. They are all better here...mostly out, only one left. The wind finally died down. It was, unusually, blowing all night for a couple of days. Yes. They were mostly volunteers but the forest service got involved as well.

    3. Glad to hear they are down to only one fire hope that one gets put out soon. I watch different news channel (we get ours from San Antonio) and today I paid extra attention but they never mentioned them.

  5. OMG...just saw where tRump has posed with Goya products on his desk in the oval office.

    1. Yep, another illegal act...a seating president promoting the products of a CEO who kissed his ample rear end.

If you have the time please tune in to tonight's Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN...it is also on YouTube. You only have to watch the first two minutes. Anderson was so outraged by the photo of him surrounded by these products his voice was breaking. Not because of the Goya products but rather that this is what this president is focusing on when we are in the middle of a pandemic...shameful!!!

  6. It was hot at 108 but around 5Pm a storm was coming in and the wind was crazy the temps dropped 10 degrees but not a drop of rain. But the drop of 10 degrees was a nice reward.

What's up with the rumps family pushing the Goya products? What a pack of loosers they look so stupid well...

    1. You beat us today we only got to 105 degrees. It is a shame the storm missed your area though a 10-degree drop in temperature is not bad either.

The CEO of Goya whose immigrant Spaniard family founded and still own the company praised Trump and his leadership to the point that not only I but most Latinos wanted to throw up on the spot.

There was a terrible backlash by the Latino community on social media they showed pictures of people throwing their products in the trash. Of course, this administration came to Goya's aid by posting their stupid pictures.
