Finally some liquid gold!

The weather gurus had said it would rain on and off all day Sunday...that did not happen at least not in the southern tip of Val Verde County...until 11:26 p.m. last night.  We had very heavy downpours netting the area 1.59 inches of much needed liquid gold.

It was a warm and humid day with a low of 70 and a high of 84 degrees today.  The sun came out and quickly dried some hand washables.

Good night.  May you all have Terlingua Dreams.

  1. Nice to have Nature on your side for a change. Maybe now you can start your garden.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. My garden? I have a brown thumb Rick. What I need to do is pull the weeds and prune the trees but that would require a trip to Home Depot which I do not plan on making for now.

  2. I don't know why my comments have not been going through. I have been careful. Some kind of glitch in the internet or I am losing it faster than I thought?
Bet you are delighted to get some good rain. Our snow melted a bit here today and I saw some green grass underneath. I will be so happy to see spring sunshine!
Love the Aunty Acid. Happy St Patty's Day!

    1. Blogger has been making a lot of in my opinion "unnecessary" changes. For instance, it has quit notifying me if I have a new comment so unless I enter my blog I have no idea someone has posted a comment.

I just went to Comment Moderation but did not find any comments from you. I have my blog set on two days before everything goes into moderation to keep spammers at bay.

One thing that I am aware of and it is not just happening on my blog is if someone hits the PREVIEW button it will erase the complete comment but you can retrieve it if you hit the back button and then hit PUBLISH.

Glad to hear your snow is slowly melting hope spring reaches your area soon.

Aunty Acid made me smile it might not be funny to some gentlemen but I think us ladies can relate :)

Happy St. Patty's Day to you as well!

  3. We had rain for a short time in the morning but it has been alternately cloudy and sunny the rest of the day. I try to love the rainy weather because once April is past there won't be much, if any, for the rest of the year.

    1. We have to enjoy the rain Gypsy because neither of our areas gets much past the month of April. Have you considered saving the rainwater for your garden?

I use new plastic 32-gallon trash containers to keep it simple so I can later water the shade trees.

    1. It was a nice and welcomed rain. We are supposed to have another storm later on this evening.

The only negative about these wonderful showers is like you mention...a new crop of weeds :-(
